Samsung Galaxy A14 4G launched in Nepal with 50MP triple cameras

Galaxy A14 5G was Samsung's first smartphone launch of 2023, which is available here in Nepal too. The company has now launched the 4G variant of the phone as well. So, let's get into the full specifications, official price in Nepal, and availability of the new Samsung Galaxy A14 4G.

Design, Display

The Galaxy A14 4G does not come up with a new design. That is, it retains the same flat-edge design and has three camera rings protruding from the back panel as its 5G counterpart. Galaxy A14 4G is also available in the same four color options: Black, Green, Dark Red, and Silver.  Up front, Samsung has also used the same Infinity-V notch on a 6.6-inch PLS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. But this 4G model has just a 60Hz refresh rate compared to 90Hz on the Galaxy A14 5G.

Performance

Besides the screen refresh rate, the Galaxy A14 4G and the 5G differ in terms of chipset too. Here, we get an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 chip instead of Exynos 1330 5G. Based on 12nm, this processor has two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores. So while it can handle your simple day-to-day tasks pretty easily, it's not powerful enough for gaming and stuff. The memory option for the Galaxy A14 4G includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can further expand the internal storage using a microSD card. The phone ships with Android 13-based One UI 5 out-of-the-box. 

Camera

Samsung has also made a minor change to the camera department. While the primary and macro sensors remain unchanged at 50MP and 2MP, respectively, the brand has replaced A14 5G's 2MP depth sensor with a 5MP ultrawide camera instead. A 13MP lens is housed within the aforementioned notch for selfies.

Others

Moving on, this smartphone is backed by a big 5000mAh battery, but with just 10W charging support. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Galaxy A14 4G also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, whereas the phone weighs 201 grams.
