Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G launched with 120Hz display and long software support

Samsung has added a new phone to its F-series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy F70e 5G. The phone is quite similar to what you might have already seen in most budget Samsung phones over the past few years, but this one sits close to the Galaxy A07 in terms of core hardware and comes with a different design approach and a lower entry price. Let’s get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

      Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G Overview

      Design and Display

      undefined

The Galaxy F70e 5G comes with a faux leather back, which sets it apart from Samsung’s usual glossy finishes in this segment. It also uses Samsung’s Key Island design on the side, where the power and volume buttons slightly protrude. The phone is protected against dust and light splashes as it carries an IP54 rating. Samsung is offering it in Spotlight Blue and Limelight Green color options.

On the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung claims peak brightness of up to 800 nits, and there’s a front camera placed in a notch.

      Performance and Software

Samsung, like usual, has gone with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset here. Its the classic dimensity chipset, already featuring in many Samsung budget phones. It’s paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.  On the software side, the Galaxy F70e 5G runs One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. Moreover, Samsung is promising six years of OS upgrades and security updates.

      Cameras

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie camera. Samsung is also pushing features like scene detection and portrait edge refinement.

Samsung says the phone is built for all-day use, although the exact battery capacity hasn’t been disclosed yet. Other features include the usual standard suite of a fingerprint scanner built into the power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Quick Share support, and the usual Samsung Galaxy ecosystem features.

Should you buy the Galaxy F70e 5G in Nepal?

While the device is not available at the moment, we probably don't know if it will ever make it here. But in any case, if it ever makes it here, I think it makes perfect sense to buy. The alternatives in its segment are plenty, but probably not as good as this. But it also depends on what Samsung is going to price it here.
