Samsung Galaxy M02s goes official in Nepal with SD 450, 5000mAh battery

Samsung is a global leader when it comes to smartphone sales. The brand has just released its first device of 2021 and it’s a budget-oriented smartphone. Samsung has now launched the new Galaxy M02s a week after the device was spotted in the Google Play Listing. The device brings quite some significant improvements over its predecessor. Let’s take a look at the specs, features, official price, and availability of Samsung Galaxy M02s in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy M02s Overview:

In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy M02s is more like the Galaxy A02s that was announced last year. However, the A02s is yet to be available commercially. The device will make its debut in Europe later this year.

Design and Display

Moving on to the M02s, the device sports a 6.5-inch TFT panel. Like most of the devices in this price segment, the display has an HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch that houses the front camera. At the back, the triple camera setup is housed inside the rectangular camera module. Other than that, there is a Samsung branding towards the bottom. Interestingly, Samsung has omitted the physical fingerprint sensor that was on the M01s. The device is available in three color options – Black, Blue, and Red.

Performance and Memory

Here, Samsung Galaxy M02s is powered by an entry-level Snapdragon 450 chipset from Qualcomm. It’s a bit underwhelming when we have phones like Motorola's Moto E7 Plus that offer SD 460 with 70% better performance for almost the same price. The M02s comes with 3 or 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded up to 512GB with an external SD card.

Camera

Getting to the cames, Galaxy M02s now has a total of four cameras. The main camera setup consists of three sensors whereas the fourth is on the front. Except for an additional 2MP macro sensors, the rear camera setup is very similar to that of M01s. We are talking about a 13MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Similarly, there is a 5MP sensor on the front for selfies.

Battery

Galaxy M02s features a bigger battery than its predecessor. The 5,000mAh battery is non-removable and it supports a faster 15W charging technology.
