While we are waiting for the Galaxy A series to debut with 6 years of Android updates, Samsung has launched Galaxy M06 5G with 4 years of software updates. We won’t be wrong if we call this phone a rebranded Galaxy F06 because not only the specs but also the design looks the same. Design and Display

The Galaxy M06 has a simple monotone design with crisscross patterns on the back. Furthermore, it measures 167.4 x 77.4 x 8mm and features a pill-shaped camera module with an LED flash. Samsung offers the phone in Sage Green and Blazing Black colors.

At the front, the phone has a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness. Additionally, it comes with a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, which is something quite basic for a 2024 smartphone, but it is a budget phone, after all. Other than that, it comes with a U-shaped notch design.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Galaxy M06 runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, featuring 2 Cortex-A76 cores (2.4GHz) and 6 Cortex-A55 cores (2.0GHz). Additionally, it is packed with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with microSD expansion up to 1.5 TB.

For power, the 5,000mAh battery capacity of the phone supports 25W charging, but Samsung does not provide a charger in the box. It ships with Android 15 and One UI Core 7.0, a lighter version of Samsung’s UI for budget devices. Additionally, Samsung promises four OS upgrades and four years of updates.

For the optics, the Galaxy M06 has a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, users will get an 8MP front camera.
