Finally, Samsung has launched its new Galaxy M07 budget phone with 6 years of software updates, like those we see on its premium “Galaxy A” series. Design and Display
Starting with the design, the Samsung Galaxy M07 is sleek and slim, measuring just 7.6mm and weighing around 184 g. The camera designs have not changed from last year’s M06, as we still get a pill-shaped camera with an LED flash. Samsung has gone with only a single black colour for the colour option, but at least it has a glass fiber reinforced back panel this time.
At the front, too, nothing has changed much from the previous generation. We still get a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It still comes with an HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution and a U-shaped notch, which is quite boring considering it’s a 2025 smartphone. Thankfully, we now have an IP54 rating for minor protection against dust and water.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the Galaxy M07 runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 4G chipset, featuring two Cortex-A76 (2.2GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (2.0GHz) CPU cores. Additionally, it is packed with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, with microSD expansion. The Helio G99 is already a 4-year-old chipset, but it’s still powerful enough for basic everyday tasks and even light gaming.
The Galaxy M07 has a standard 5000 mAh battery with 25W of fast charging support; however, Samsung does not provide a charger inside the box. For software, it ships with Android 15 with One UI 7. Further, Samsung has promised 6 years of OS and security updates.
Camera and other features
For the camera, the Galaxy M07 has a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, we get an 8MP front camera.
It supports Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi and has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single speaker, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
