Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A15 in Nepal a while ago. Now they have launched another smartphone with “15” numbering under the “M” series of phones, the Galaxy M15 5G in Nepal. In this article, we will discuss the specs, features, and official price of the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G in Nepal.
Samsung Galaxy M15 5G Overview
Design and Display
In terms of design, there isn't much going on. This phone comes in the classic Galaxy blueprint. Meaning, it has a monotone finish with three camera cutouts vertically stacked on top of one another. The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G features a chequered pattern on the back and ships in Light Blue, Dark Blue, and Grey colours.
On the front, you get a 6.5-inch screen surrounded by thick bezels. However, you do get a Super AMOLED panel here. It is one of the best panels in the market, so the viewing experience should be pleasant on this phone. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G has an FHD+ resolution spanning 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It also offers a 90Hz refresh rate, a colour depth of 16 million, and a brightness of up to 800 nits.
Performance
Samsung has not mentioned outright which chip the Galaxy M15 5G is running on. They do mention that the processor has eight cores, 5G capability, and a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz. Based on this information, sources have determined the chipset to be MediaTek Dimensity 6100+, which is relatively fresh at this time.
Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes in a single 6GB + 128GB configuration in Nepal. The storage is on the lower end by 2024 standards, but, thankfully you can expand it up to a terabyte via MicroSD card. Moreover, it boots on Android 14 with OneUI on top. As such, it offers a full Galaxy experience, complete with four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.
In the optics department, you get three shooters on the back led by a 50MP main camera. It is further coupled with two auxiliary units comprising of a 5MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The lattermost one is just a placeholder camera that you won't get much utility out of. Meanwhile, on the front, you get a 13MP selfie shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G draws its power from a large 6,000 mAh battery. You get 25W of wired charging here and Samsung Nepal is providing it for free. Additionally, it comes with dual-SIM 5G cellular, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth v5.3, five-way navigation, and NFC support for wireless connectivity. In the meantime, you get a USB 2.0 Type-C as well as a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for wired connections.
