Samsung ViewFinity S9 to be available for purchase from August

Samsung announced its first 5K PC monitor at CES 2023. The ViewFinity S9 finally has an official price and launch time frame for the US. So, let’s get into the specs, features, expected price, and availability of Samsung ViewFinity S9 in Nepal.

Samsung ViewFinity S9 is the successor to the ViewFinity S8 and offers a number of improvements, including a higher resolution, a wider color gamut, and a faster response time. Furthermore, its capabilities have earned it the honor of being named a CES Innovation Award honoree in 2023.

5K resolution Display

The ViewFinity S9 display offers a 27-inch IPS screen size with a 5K resolution. It has a 50% larger canvas than a typical 4K UHD monitor, providing picture and text clarity.

The monitor also has a wide color gamut, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for graphic design and photography applications. The monitor sports a quick response time of 5ms, which further enhances its performance in these tasks.

The screen is factory calibrated to a Delta E <21, meaning the colors on the screen are very close to the actual colors. Moreover, users can calibrate the display based on their preference using Smart Calibration from Samsung’s flagship phones (S10 and later).

It offers a 600 nits typical brightness making it comfortable to view media in various lighting conditions, while its matte display reduces light reflection and glare.

Design and Features

The Samsung ViewFinity S9 is made of a thin metal frame and has a black bezel that is only 2mm thick. For those looking to optimize their workspace, it offers VESA mount compatibility, with a 100×100 mounting pattern. Additionally, the monitor supports height adjustment stand (HAS) pivot, and tilt adjustments, enabling users to find the perfect viewing angle for their needs.

It is primarily designed for professionals in the creative and visual industries. It features Adaptive Picture, Eye Saver Mode, Flicker Free, Smart TV apps, and Gaming Hub for a well-rounded user experience.

Camera

The monitor has a built-in 4K SlimFit camera that can be used for video calls, live streaming, and other applications. The camera has a resolution of 3840 x 2160, and it can record video at up to 30 frames per second. It connect to the top of the monitor through pogo pins.
