The Sony FX30 is all about leveraging a cinematic experience. With its 26.1MP Exmor R CMOS APS-C sensor, one can shoot 10-bit 4K videos at up to 120fps. You get Sony’s BIONZ XR processor that can create high-quality 4K images with the Super35 (16:9) area.

This camera comes with Real-time Eye AF and Real-time Tracking for both humans and animals. The fast-hybrid AF uses 495 points which is spread across 90% of the image sensor. For those handheld movements, you get a 5-axis in-body stabilization.

Cinematic Tones

It’s a cinema camera, after all, so, the FX30 provides you with features like S-Cinetone and S-Log3. As the name implies, the S-Cinetone gets you cinematic-looking color and skin tones. The visual aspects are so better that Sony claims that you don’t need any post-production color grading on the footage.

Likewise, in picture profiles such as S-Log3 and HLG, the dynamic range is greatly improved allowing more flexibility for the editors. Other than that, you also get options for 16 user-created LUTs and three presets.
