Anker has launched the new mid-range Soundcore Space 2, 3 long years after the Space One we saw in 2023. This new headphone features an over-ear design and a 40 mm double-layered diaphragm driver. The connectivity and ANC also look decent enough in this headset. In this article, I will discuss everything about the Soundcore Space 2, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Soundcore Space 2 Overview

Design and Comfort

Beginning with the design, Soundcore Space 2 comes with a modern over-ear design for all-day comfort. Basically, the Chassis of this headphone is made of lightweight, soft-touch plastic that gives it a matte finish, while the ear cushions use protein leather. It has 8-degree rotating ear cups that swivel flat and a foldable hinge, making it compact for day-to-day travel.

Moving on, this headphone has managed to keep its lightweight at 264 grams, which is 1 gram lighter than its predecessor. Here, Anker claims to accommodate over 2,000 different head profiles with this design, while the in-house tester of Anker also suggests taking a break if you are using it for a full day to let the ear breathe.

Audio and Codec

Under the hood, Soundcore Space 2 uses the 40mm double-layer diaphragm driver, which is far better than the standard 40mm driver we saw in its predecessor. Here, you get both wired and wireless playback support. And for wireless connectivity, you get Bluetooth 6.1 with dual-device connection.

Furthermore, this headphone uses the LDAC codec alongside SBC and AAC to deliver better audio detail on compatible Android devices. This codec can support up to 990 kbps, which is significantly higher than the normal codec's maximum. With this new Codec, we expect this headphone to deliver significantly better audio during wireless connectivity.

ANC and Call Quality

Regarding the ANC, Anker has updated the standard adaptive ANC we saw in Space One to upgraded Adaptive ANC 3.0. With this new ANC technique in the Soundcore Space 2, noise adjustment occurs every 0.3 seconds, which Anker claims offers 2x stronger voice reduction. Also, in this technique, AI is used to detect audio noise leakage, which is then filtered to improve ANC. A similar ANC technique we have already seen is the Soundcore Liberty 5.

Soundcore Space 2 Dual-device Connection

For clarity on the call, the Soundcore Space 2 uses the same 3-microphone setup as its predecessor, with AI noise reduction to maintain voice clarity in crowded, noisy environments.

Battery and Others

As for the battery, Anker has not disclosed the exact capacity to date. But they claim to give 70 hours of playback without ANC and up to 50 hours of Playback with ANC. Further, they said that this headphone can deliver up to four hours of playback with five minutes of charging.

Additionally, this headset offers various customizable 8-band EQ settings in the Soundcore App. Through this app, you can access over 100 languages in real-time translation, too, with a built-in assistant called Anka.
