Tecno has announced the Camon 40 Premier, its latest premium smartphone in the Camon series. It brings a 50MP triple-camera system, a Dimensity 8350 chipset, and a 144Hz AMOLED display. Display and Design

The Tecno Camon 40 Premier features a 6.67-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR and 1 billion colors. The screen has a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The device is also dust-protected and water-resistant.

Performance and Software

The phone runs on Android 15 with HIOS 15. The phone is now powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a 4nm processor, instead of Dimensity 8200, which featured in its predecessor. The CPU consists of an octa-core setup (1×3.35 GHz Cortex-A715, 3×3.20 GHz Cortex-A715, and 4×2.20 GHz Cortex-A510), paired with a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU. The Camon 40 Premier comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, but there is no microSD card slot for expansion.
