Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO has been launching some killer gaming phones. And now they have announced the iQOO Z1 which features the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ Chipset with integrated 5G support. Let’s learn more about the IQOO Z1 along with its price and expected availability in Nepal here.

Vivo iQOO Z1 Overview

The Vivo iQOO Z1 has almost identical specifications as the IQOO Neo 3. Instead of the Snapdragon 865, this one has the Mediatek’s flagship chipset — Dimensity 1000+. It is based on 7nm architecture and has an integrated Helio M70 5G modem. Although the Dimensity 1000+ lacks a faster mm-Wave, it does offer the widely popular sub-6GHz 5G spectrum.

In terms of performance, Dimensity 1000+ has an octa-core CPU with a big.LITTLE architecture. Here, you get four high-performance ARM Cortex-A77 clocked at 2.6GHz and four low-power Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. In the GPU front, it should have the same Mali-G77 MP9. Although the Dimensity 1000+ is not as powerful as the Snapdragon 865, it is much cheaper among the two and in turn making the price of the phone lower.

On the front, the iQOO Z1 houses a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display houses a circular notch on the right top where sits a 16MP selfie snapper. On the back, there’s a triple rear camera of 48MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro lens.

The design of the phone is pretty standard with plastic frames and a glossy gradient back. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, just like the Poco X2 and Realme 6 Pro. Battery wise, it has a decent 4500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. IQOO says it can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in just 20 minutes and 100% in about an hour. Finally, the iQOO Z1 boots on Android 10 with iQOO UI 1.0.

What are the gaming features of the iQOO Z1?

The iQOO Z1 sports a new multi-turbo acceleration engine that improves the thermal performance of the mobile phone. It also has a super liquid cooling technology for better heat dissipation and keeps the phone cool even after prolonged gaming session.

To further enhance the gaming experience while playing online games, the iQOO Z1 features a Maxwell 5G antenna design for better reception.
