Vivo S20 series launched in China with powerful chipsets

vivo has launched its S20 series smartphones in China, focusing on design and upper-midrange specifications. The lineup includes two models: the vivo S20 and vivo S20 Pro. Both devices feature similar displays but differ in performance, cameras, and battery capacity.

Display and Design

Both the vivo S20 and S20 Pro come with 6.67-inch AMOLED screens that offer a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The S20 has a flat display, while the S20 Pro features a quad-curved design for a more premium look. The panels can reach a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits.

Performance

The vivo S20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the S20 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. Additionally, the S20 Pro supports faster Wi-Fi 7 and 5.5G connectivity in mainland China, unlike the standard model.

Cameras

Both models include a 50MP front camera with autofocus. On the back, the vivo S20 features a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and vivo’s Aura circular LED light. In comparison, the S20 Pro offers a more advanced setup, including a 50MP main shooter with OIS, a 3x periscope zoom lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor.

Battery and Charging

The vivo S20 has a larger 6,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Meanwhile, the S20 Pro includes a smaller 5,500mAh battery but offers faster 90W charging.

Software and Colors

Both smartphones run on OriginOS 5, based on Android 15. The vivo S20 is available in Phoenix Feather Gold, Jade Dew White, and Pine Smoke Ink colors. The S20 Pro comes in Phoenix Feather Gold, Purple Air, and Pine Smoke Ink options.
