Vivo recently launched its flagship phones — X200 and X200 Pro with Dimensity chipsets. Now the company is working on the fourth iteration of its folding phones. Let’s take a look at what is known about the Vivo X Fold 4 so far.
Vivo X Fold 4 Rumours Round-up
One of the most trustworthy tipsters out there, Digital Chat Station, said they saw Vivo’s upcoming foldable in person. They also revealed some key details on the phone.
What to expect?
Design and Display
DCS says much of the focus has been channelled into making the Vivo X Fold 4 light and thin. This isn’t at all surprising considering Honor has set the bar pretty high by releasing the thinnest folding phones in the world. Furthermore, the device will be able to withstand water exposure pretty well. However, the same cannot be said with dirt and dust. That being said, the Vivo X Fold 4 will come with an IPX8 rating.
While no information on display has been unveiled as of yet. But it seems the phone will have dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors — both under the displays. This is quite an interesting prospect given that foldables usually don’t have an under-display fingerprint reader on the inner screen.

Camera and Performance
The design appears to be unchanged with a large circular camera island on the back. It will have three 50MP shooters — a primary, an ultrawide, and a 3x periscope telephoto. The Vivo X Fold 4 apparently also has a pressure-sensitive three-stage button, which is the first time for the company as well.
Digital Chat Station says the upcoming Vivo foldable will be powered by the Snapdragon Elite chipset. They also mention that the phone will be packing a large 6,000 mAh battery.
Vivo X Fold 4 Launch and Availability
Unlike its predecessor, this phone will be a standalone offering. This means there won’t be a base and a Pro model like last time. Talking of the launch, it was expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025. However, the Chinese tipster says the launch has been pushed back. So, we might see the launch sometime in the second quarter of 2025.
