Vivo Y05 Launched with 6,500mAh Battery and 120Hz Display

Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y05 in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. It’s an entry-level smartphone with very basic features overall, but provided with a large battery size. Vivo Y05 Overview

Display and Design

The Vivo Y05 features a 6.74-inch LCD with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720 pixels). It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and offers a pixel density of 260ppi. For outdoor visibility, the panel can reach up to 1200 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). 

On the design side, the phone has a fairly simplistic design with a basic plastic build. It has a thickness of  8.39mm with 209 gm weight. It is provided in three colors, namely, Summit Platinum, Haze Blue, and Voyage Black. Other than that, you also get a fingerprint sensor, which is side-mounted. 

Performance

Moving on, the device is powered by the Unisoc T7225 chipset built on a 12nm process. The UNISOC chipsets are evidently not known for their performance, but still, this one can handle plenty of multitasking.  Similarly, the phone comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage. It also supports up to 4GB of virtual RAM expansion. You also get storage expansion up to 2TB via a microSD card.

Battery and Charging

One of the best parts of the device has to be its battery. It features a massive 6,500mAh Li-ion battery, which is paired with 15W wired charging. Meanwhile, on the software side, the device runs OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16.

Camera and Rest

For cameras, the Vivo Y05 includes an 8MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options are pretty typical, and since it's not a 5G device, you will get 4G VoLTE access, but with dual SIM support, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and even an infrared blaster.
