Behold the Vivo Y50i, the third entry in the Y50 lineup, which includes Y50 5G and Y50m. But the only thing different between the Y50i and its siblings is in terms of the charging speed. So in this article, we will take a closer look at the new Vivo Y50i, including its features, specifications, and expected price in Nepal.
Vivo Y50i Overview
Design and display
Starting with the design, the Y50i features a clean look like most budget Vivo phones we’ve seen recently. It has a light ring at the back for notifications, while the Y50i has a fairly tough build since it has also received the SGS five-star drop certification.
Vivo has also secured an IP64 rating for this phone, while it’s available in three colors: “Diamond Black”, “Azure”, and “Platinum”.
As for the display, the Vivo Y50i has a 6.74-inch LCD panel with a standard HD+ resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, 70% of NTSC color gamut, and also DC dimming support.
Performance and camera
Like the rest of the Y50 gang, the Vivo Y50i is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 as well. This chipset is paired with 6 gigs of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 gigs of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Additionally, the device boots on OriginOS 5, based on Android 15.
The Vivo Y50i has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Both of them are capable of shooting 1080p videos.

Same battery, slower charging speed
The Y50i has the same 6,000 mAh battery as other phones in this lineup, although it charges slower at just 15W. Compared to 44W on the Vivo Y50 5G and Y50m. But the funny thing is that Vivo is still providing a 44W charger in its box.
Other than that, the Vivo Y50i comes with dual SIM 5G support and a Bluetooth 5.4 connection. We also get GPS navigation along with NFC and an IR blaster. While ports include the normal USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
