But while this mid-range phone impresses with its huge battery, the downgrade in performance and camera raises questions about its overall value.

Vivo has added a new member to its Y-series with the launch of the vivo Y600 Pro in China. This new phone from Vivo has only a major battery upgrade with noticeable capacity, but other than that, there is a major downer in its chip and optics that I will discuss later. But now let's discuss the Vivo Y600 Pro expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Vivo Y600 Pro Overview
Battery
As I said before, Vivo has taken a massive leap in battery performance with the Vivo Y600 Pro. Here, this phone packs a 10200mAh Si-C battery, which is 3200mAh larger than the predecessor, the vivo Y500 Pro. This battery can be charged with the 90W flash charger and supports OTG reverse charging.

Design and Display
Moving on, the Vivo Y600 Pro has two different thicknesses and weights. Here, it weighs 223 grams and is 8.25mm thick for the “Floating Gold” finish, while the “Moonlight Black”, "Vast Blue", and "Starry Purple" finishes are a bit thinner at 8.15mm and lighter by 2 gm. the overall build of this phone is made from plastic material and has curved edges. Further, it has a circular camera island on the back that houses the two lenses, and the LED flash is kept separately inside, away from the camera island that look similar to its predecessor.

For display, vivo opts for a 6.83-inch flat screen AMOLED panel with 1.5K (1200 x 2800 pixels) resolution, which should be quite enough to deliver crisp visuals. The color coverage in this phone should also look quite vibrant, as it supports P3 wide color gamut. Moreover, it should offer pretty good smoothness across social media scrolling and gaming, thanks to its adaptive refresh rate ranging from 60 to 120Hz.
Performance and Software
As I said earlier, this phone has a major downside. Let's discuss all of them in detail. The first one is its chip, the powerful Dimensity 7400 SoC we saw in the vivo Y500 Pro. Instead of the higher and more powerful chip, it chose a less powerful chip, Dimensity 7300e (6nm), which is the same as Dimensity 7300/7300X. For an upper-mid-range phone, this chip is not up to the mark, which is quite disappointing. You might only use this Vivo Y600 Pro for casual gaming at low to medium frame rates, while high-end games like Genshin Impact struggle with this chip, as we've already seen on phones with similar chips.

Memory-wise, Vivo offers quite a good number of options, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM in dual-channel and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. With this dual-channel RAM on your device, you can transfer twice as much data per second as its predecessor, which might compensate for the high-end gaming, since the chip is not powerful enough.
On the software front, Vivo Y600 Pro runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Here, you also get JOVI as the AI assistant, which can be used for in-phone tasks by giving a simple command.

Camera and Others
The other downgrade this new Vivo Y600 Pro has is its optics. from that huge 200MP module with OIS we saw in its predecessor, it downgraded it to a 50MP f/1.8 rear sensor. The only good thing about this phone is that it retains its 32MP with f/2.45 sensor instead of a wide one, which might produce more natural blur in the selfies you take with it. The OIS we saw on the phone previously in the Y-series of vivo has been replaced by EIS, so the low-light photography on this phone might not look that great. Moreover, Vivo claims this phone has FF (flicker focus) autofocus on the front and normal AF on the rear camera module.

For connectivity, Vivo Y600 Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has a 2D facial recognition feature that supports Face Wake for better security, alongside an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
