Apple MacBook Pro 13 (M2) Price in Nepal [Updated]

Apple unveiled two new MacBooks at the 2022 WWDC event. The highly specced-out model is the 13-inch MacBook Pro, which is available in Nepal as well. And, in this article, we will go through the specs, features, availability, and official price of the Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch (M2) in Nepal.

13-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip starts at Rs. 189,900 for the base 8/256GB variant. Unfortunately, all models of the MacBook Pro 13 (M2) are now unavailable in Nepal.

This year’s 13-inch MacBook Pro succeeds its predecessor primarily in terms of performance. It is powered by the new M2 chip which is an octa-core processor (with 4-high performance cores and 4-high efficiency cores) built upon the company’s 2nd gen 5nm process. Similarly, the new silicon has 20 billion transistors, which is 25% more than the M1 and a 10-core GPU as opposed to the M1's 8-core.

With such sheer power onboard, Apple claims that the M2 outperforms the 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U CPU combined with 16GB of memory by 1.9X. Similarly, its media engine now supports up to 8K H.264, HEVC, ProRes encode/decode, and has 'increased bandwidth' to playback multiple 4K and 8K streams more efficiently.

Design and Display

Even though the new MacBook Pro has a powerful chip inside, its design and other hardware features are identical to the previous model. This means you’re still getting a 13.3-inch Retina IPS display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. As expected, the screen also supports True Tone and the P3 color gamut. 

Rest of the specs

Aside from that, the connectivity option remains unchanged as well with a pair of USB 4 / Thunderbolt 3 ports, a headphone jack, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0.
