Battery is a device that stores and provides electrical energy through chemical reaction. It is a backbone of the modern day technology and powers other devices. The first-ever battery was invented in 1800 by Alessandro Volta and was called the “Voltaic Pile”. Fast forward to today, Lithium-ion is the leading battery technology, while Silicon-carbon is rising in popularity and might replace it in the future.
