      Dell has refreshed its XPS lineup of Ultrabooks with 12th gen Intel Alder Lake-H CPUs for 2022. These laptops support up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and feature RTX 30-series GPUs as well.       Design and Display

      Both XPS 15 and 17 ship with a 3840 x 2400p IPS touchscreen or a 1920 x 1200p IPS display with no touch input. Moreover, Dell offers an OLED touchscreen option for the 15-inch variant as well.

      These Dell laptops feature top-of-the-line build quality. The interior is decked in black while the exterior is platinum silver in color. Furthermore, The chassis uses CNC-machined aluminum with carbon fiber or woven glass fiber composite palm rest.

      Performance

      The CPU options available on the new Dell XPS 15, XPS 17 (2022) are Core i5-12500H (12 cores), i7-12700H (14 cores), and i9-12900HK (14 cores). These new Intel CPUs are a major upgrade because of their hybrid architecture, which includes Performance and Efficient-cores (P-core and E-core).

      On the memory front, these laptops max out at 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM. The updated channel architecture provides twice the bandwidth and density of DDR4, all the while decreasing the power consumption. This results in faster performance in games, editing, rendering, and more. Getting to graphics, you can choose either a discrete Nvidia RTX GPU or Intel's integrated GPU. The XPS 15 maxes out at RTX 3050 Ti, whereas the XPS 17 is configurable with up to RTX 3060. However, the RTX 3060 versions will only be available in the international market in April. Likewise, RTX 3050 Ti on XPS 15 has a 45W TGP with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM. Correspondingly, the RTX 3060 on the XPS 17 has 4GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 60W TGP
