These two new DJI drone models are aimed at entry-level creators.

DJI is back with two new entry-level drones expanding its budget-friendly Lito series. Though both drones have similar body structures, they offer different camera options to choose from based on your budget. With these new Lito 1 and Lito X1, DJI is targeting entry-level creators with easy-to-fly, hard-to-crash features. Here, I will talk about these two drones in detail, including their expected prices in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
DJI Lito 1 and Lito X1 Overview
Design and Build
As for the design, DJI opts for a foldable quadcopter body with an aerodynamic shape for the Lito 1 and Lito X1, a design we already saw in the DJI Mini series, making them more compact. They are very lightweight, measuring only around 249 grams. This feature of these new drones has made them small enough to easily carry in a bag with little added load.

Moving on to the build, Lito 1 and Lito X1 use durable plastic to support their body weight and include integrated landing feet to protect the camera and sensor during landing. The only trade-off they have is the lack of a propeller guard like the one we saw on drones like the DJI Neo 2, which could damage the whole drone during a crash.
Camera
As I mentioned earlier, DJI gives you two different optics for each drone. DJI Lito 1 has a ½-inch CMOS 48MP sensor that should be decent enough for good videography in daylight. This lens has decent dynamic range but might struggle with low-light videography. If you are just beginning your creator journey, you can go with this drone to learn the basics of drone operation.

As for the DJI Lito X1, you can see the major upgrades in the optics. It has a much larger 1/1.3-inch CMOS 48MP sensor that can record 4K video at 60 fps. It also has D-Log M color profiles, which are essential tools for video editors. morovers, this sensor should offer better low-light and detailed videography with much better highlights and shadows. Creators with basic drone knowledge might find this a suitable budget upgrade for better content creation.
Regarding the camera operation, both drones have a 3-axis mechanical gimbal for smooth video. While DJI claims that they can capture 8K images very easily. Here, both Lito 1 and Lito X1 ActiveTrack features are used for precise subject tracking with a speed of 12 m/sec. In addition, both have MicroSD storage, while the Lito X1 comes with an extra 42GB of internal storage.

Flight time, Performance, and Others
According to DJI, the Lito 1 has a 2590 mAh Li-ion battery that provides up to 36 minutes of flight time on a single charge. Similarly, Lito X1 comes with a 2788mAh battery, offering the same flight time as Lito 1. Plus, under ideal conditions, DJI confirms that the flight time can be extended to 52 minutes, while with aggressive flying, it might drop to 20 minutes. They can reach a maximum speed of 64km/h when flying, while the company's recommended speed is 43 km/h.
Likewise, both drones have omnidirectional obstacle-detection sensors, while the Lito X1 comes with LiDAR, which can detect objects in front of the drone more precisely in low light. Moreover, both drones support Wi-Fi 6 for fast data transfer.
