      Honor Magic V6 Overview

      Design and Display

Honor Magic V6 Design and Display

The Magic V6 is the first foldable from Honor with both IP68 and IP69 protection. It features a new Super Steel Hinge made from the strongest commercially available steel, tested for up to 500,000 folds. Apparently, Honor has reduced crease depth on the main screen by 44% and added an anti-reflection layer for better visibility. And folded, the device is 8.75mm thick, similar to an iPhone 17 Pro Max, whereas unfolded, it’s 4mm. Similarly, the white model weighs 219g.

      Display

The main display is a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED with 2,172 × 2,352 resolution, 1–120Hz variable refresh rate, reinforced ultra-thin glass, anti-reflection coating, and a 44% reduction in crease depth compared to previous foldables. Peak brightness reaches 5,000 nits locally.

The cover display is a 6.52-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED with FHD+ resolution, 1–120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness up to 6,000 nits, and stylus support. Both screens are designed with anti-reflective coatings and support 20MP selfie cameras.

      Performance and Memory

As expected, It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is the best chipset you can get of now. Similarly, it is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage for global variants (China models offer 1TB). The CPU is an octa-core setup with two high-performance cores at 4.6GHz and six efficiency cores at 3.62GHz.

Honor is also emphasizing cross-platform integration as well. The Magic V6 can sync notifications with iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, share files with Macs, and even use the main screen as a second display. On the other hand, the MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, is what powers the device, with seven major Android upgrades promised. And yes, the foldable also features AI integration with Google Gemini, which is part of the software, and Open Canvas multitasking allows a pinnable taskbar.

      Camera

Now to optics, the rear camera setup has three lenses: a 50MP main camera, f/1.6, OIS, a 64MP periscope telephoto, 70mm, 3x optical zoom, OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Both the cover and inner displays have 20MP selfie cameras. Similarly, video capture goes up to 4K at 60fps with gyro-EIS and OIS support.

      Battery and Charging

The global variant has a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery. And its charging includes 80W wired, 66W wireless, and reverse wireless. But on the other hand, the Chinese variant gets an even bigger 7,150mAh battery.

      Connectivity and Features

On the connectivity front, 5G SA/NSA, LTE, and Wi-Fi 7 are supported. Similarly, Bluetooth 6, NFC, GPS with multiple systems, and USB Type-C 3.1 with DisplayPort 1.2 are all included. You get all the typical sensors like side-mounted fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer.
