Honor has refreshed its Play series with two new phones in China: Honor Play 7T and Honor Play 7T Pro. They both are mid-range smartphones powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset. Here, we’ll go through the specifics of Honor Play 7T and 7T Pro in detail, along with its expected price in Nepal.

Honor Play 7T Series Overview:

Design and Display

To begin with, the Honor Play 7T Pro boasts a flat frame design with 7.43mm thickness and a hole punch display upfront. While the vanilla model goes with a curved frame at 8.27mm and a teardrop notch screen instead.

Likewise, looking at the rear side, the Play 7T features a rectangular camera module whereas the Pro houses a dual circular design intersecting with each other.

Talking of the display, the Honor Play 7T Pro sports a Full HD+ 6.7-inch panel. The screen is a Low-Temperature PolySilicon LCD (LTPS) that is said to offer a better pixel resolution. On the other hand, the non-pro model has a 6.74-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. Regardless, the displays on both models support a 90Hz refresh rate.

As for the performance, both siblings share the same MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset under the hood. This 7nm-made silicon supports 5G connectivity and consists of two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six power-efficient cortex A-55 cores running at 2.0GHz. For handling graphics, the SoC gets the support of Mali G57 GPU.

Memory-wise, both models are available in two configurations: 8/128GB and 8/256GB. On the software side, the Honor Play 7T series boots on Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12.

Moving on, both smartphones bear a dual camera setup headlined by a 50MP main sensor. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensing unit. On the front side, you get an 8MP selfie camera on the Pro and 5MP one on the vanilla model.
