This watch has a major upgrade over the previous generation watch—but are these upgrades enough to make it a worthy smartwatch in 2026?

Honor has officially unveiled the Honor Watch 6—its premium smartwatch with several notable upgrades over its Watch 5. Honor Watch 6 Overview
Premium design with a brighter display
To start, the Honor Watch 6 features a sporty design inspired by vintage racing cars. This watch has a circular dial, a rotating crown, and a side-mounted button. This design gives the watch a premium look, while navigation should also be easier. It also comes with an IP69 rating against dust and water, so it remains protected in everyday use.

The Watch 6's build opts for a recyclable aluminum alloy, and it weighs around 41 grams in “Shadow Black” and 50 grams in “Twilight Brown”, which should be light enough for everyday use without adding heft to the wrist. Honor also said that this watch has undergone a specialized sandblasting process to achieve a titanium-like texture.
On the front, the Watch 6 sports a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with an immersive 3000 nits peak brightness. This means the screen should remain easily visible even in direct sunlight, making it especially useful if you frequently spend long hours outdoors. Additionally, Honor adds Wet Touch support to this watch, so you can comfortably use the Watch 6's display even when your fingers are wet and sweaty.
Long battery life and dual-band GPS
I must say, battery life is one of the biggest highlights of this Honor Watch 6, as it arrives with a 980mAh battery—quite a bump over the 480mAh battery we saw in the Watch 5. With this capacity, Honor claims that the Watch 6 can last up to 17 days under typical use, and up to 35 days with lighter use. If you are involved in outdoor workouts like hiking and trekking, then Honor also said that this watch can provide up to 42 hours of continuous GPS tracking.

So if you are someone who prefers long battery life as the key aspect in any smartwatch, this might be an option to consider—while this watch might also be suitable for trekkers and mountaineers who dont have a power source for the watch for quite a time.
In terms of Positioning, Watch 6 comes with dual-band L1+L5 GPS, which is said to provide faster satellite lock and better location accuracy during outdoor activities like running, hiking, or cycling.
Fitness and Sports features
For fitness, the Honor Watch 6 comes with 120+ sports modes, covering everything from walking and running to cycling, strength training, skiing, and more. In addition to these modes, Honor has introduced dedicated Football and Badminton modes. In Football mode, you will get various tracking data such as sprint speed, distance, heat maps, and other metrics, whereas Badminton mode is said to record swing speed, shot power, stroke types, and other metrics related to the sport.

For runners, it also has an AI Running coach that, Honor claims, guides you through the entire training process by tracking various running metrics.

Health Tracking and Smart Features
In addition to workout tracking, Honor Watch 6 focuses on core health metrics. This watch can track heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress, and even provide a blood pressure trend-monitoring report. You will also get the Quick Health Scan feature, which lets you check multiple health metrics with a single tap so you can track your wellness and take necessary action when needed.

On the smart side, Watch 6 supports Bluetooth calling, NFC payments, voice notes, message notifications, wrist gestures, and customizable video watch faces. However, Honor said that some features of this watch will work smoothly when paired with a compatible Honor smartphone running the latest MagicOS version.
