HP OmniBook is now an AI PC too

Among the many companies launching Qualcomm-powered laptops in recent days is HP too. Matter of fact, the company announced two new offerings with the latest Snapdragon chipset. However, in this article, we will only look at the HP OmniBook X AI PC in further detail while also discussing the price it might launch in Nepal.

HP OmniBook X AI PC Overview

Design and Display

The latest HP OmniBook X AI PC comes has a slim and light profile with a 14.50mm thickness and a weight of 1.35 kg. It features recycled metal as well as plastic for its build. Additionally, it ships in two colour options: Meteor Silver, and Ceramic White with a monotone finish. On the front, this laptop dons a 14-inch IPS LCD panel with touchscreen support. Furthermore, this processor has a dedicated NPU allowing the HP OmniBook X AI PC to run AI apps faster. This includes the likes of Recall, Live Captions, Paint Cocreator, and so on. In addition to the processor, this laptop comes with up to 32GB of onboard memory. It is specifically an LPDDR5x RAM with an 8,448 MHz frequency. Likewise, the storage is handled by an NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD of up to 1TB capacity. On the software front, the HP OmniBook X AI PC boots on Windows 11 Home.

Battery and the rest

The powerhouse on this laptop is a 59Wh Li-ion polymer battery split across three cells. Similarly, it also supports fast charging through a 65W USB Type-C charger that comes in the box. The HP OmniBook X AI PC comes with a minimal number of ports comprising two USB Type-C, one USB Type-A, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Meanwhile, the wireless connectivity on this laptop includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth v5.4 support.

HP OmniBook X AI PC Price in Nepal and Availability

This laptop was announced on 20 May 2024 and is up for pre-orders at USD 1,199.99 starting price. It will only start shipping on 18 June 2024 though. Given that, it might make its way to Nepal as well. When it does, we expect the HP OmniBook X AI PC price in Nepal to start at NPR 192,099.
