Huawei took the world by storm with the first-ever tri-fold phone. Now the company has launched a new iteration of its regular folding phones. Let’s take a deeper look at the Huawei Mate X6 in this article, along with its expected price in Nepal.
Huawei Mate X6 Overview
Design and Display
The Huawei Mate X6 is a successor to the Mate X5 and looks quite similar in terms of design. This phone measures 4.6mm thick when unfolded and goes up to 9.9mm when folded. It is IPX8 water-resistant, comes with a waterdrop hinge, and ships in five different colours. The back material can either be nylon fibre or leather, the latter of which is a bit thicker in comparison.
As it is a folding phone, it obviously has two screens. The front is a 6.45-inch unit while the inner one stretches 7.93 inches diagonally. Both the screens are FHD+ in resolution, offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and cover the P3 colour gamut. The external screen has a higher touch sampling rate of 300Hz than 240Hz on the inner screen.
Performance
The standard version of the Huawei Mate X6 comes with 12GB RAM and can have either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition has it even better with 16GB memory and offers a choice between 512GB and 1TB of ROM.
Huawei has stopped flaunting the silicone powering its devices due to its whole US-ban situation and the Mate X6 is no different. They do not mention what exactly is under its hood, however, it is likely the Kirin 9100. Likewise, the phone comes with HarmonyOS 4.3 by default and is upgradeable to Huawei’s Android-free Hongmeng NEXT (HarmonyOS 5.0) software.

Camera
The Huawei Mate X6 comes with a quad-camera setup on the back. It consists of 50MP primary, 40MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto/macro shooters. They are assisted by a colour camera with 1.5 million-spectral channels. The main purpose of this camera is to preserve colour accuracy in the photographs.
Moving on, there are two front cameras — one on the cover screen and the other on the inner screen. Both of them are eight megapixels in resolution.
