The design side of things for the iPhone 16 Pro is no different than the Pro Max model. Just a smaller body and a smaller display, rest apart, it’s the same. Just like its big bro, it features two additional buttons on the side rails— an action button and a new capture button. A18 Pro and some AI
The Pro moniker for the iPhones stands for a Pro SoC, since the inception of the iPhone 15 Pro Series, flaunting an A17 Pro SoC. Before that, all of the siblings shared the same chipsets. This year as well, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are getting the Pro one, the A18 Pro chip with on-device AI capabilities. As for the juice, the iPhone 16 Pro packs an updated stainless steel casing for higher battery density, by up to 10%, of course for better battery life. It boasts a 2.5% battery capacity improvement with a 3,355mAh cell as compared to the 3,274mAh one on the iPhone 15 Pro. The MagSafe alignment magnets in the iPhone 16 models are now slimmer than before, cutting down on the size of the magnetic ring required for MagSafe-compatible cases.
