Could the new iQOO Z11i be worth waiting for?

iQOO has officially unveiled the iQOO Z11i 5G in China as the newest mid-range member of its Z11 series. This smartphone focuses on delivering reliable everyday performance, long battery life, and practical features rather than chasing flagship specifications. While it sits below the Z11 and Z11x models, the Z11i still brings several noticeable upgrades that I will cover in a minute. But for now, I will discuss this new phone in detail, including the expected iQOO Z11i 5G price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

iQOO Z11i 5G Overview
Design and Display
Starting with design, the iQOO Z11i comes with a flat frame with a square rear camera module in a glossy finish that houses a two-camera ring layout, IR remote control, and an LED flash. Here, you can choose between “Ink Shadow”, “Desert Gold”, and “Light Blue” finishes. You also get the IP65 rating for dust and water resistance along with the SGS-certified drop resistance so that you can use this phone without worrying about damage during a minor accident.

Up front, it has a 6.74-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, which is quite disappointing compared to other smartphones in the same price bracket—such as the Infinix Note 60 and Infinix Note Edge—that offer displays with better resolution. Additionally, scrolling through social media on this phone should also be smooth, all thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate.
Besides that, the Z11i also has a 1200 nits high-brightness mode that will allow you to use this phone in an outdoor setup very easily even under harsh sunlight. You also get the TUV Rheinland low blue light certification in this phone so that your eyes remain protected during extended usage.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, iQOO Z11i 5G uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is not as powerful as that of the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 that we have seen in its sibling Z11x. However, you might not struggle much with everyday social media scrolling, streaming, and other basic use cases. But the area you might notice the difference is gaming, multitasking, and long-term performance.

Memory-wise, it comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which you can further expand using a microSD card when you run out of space. On the software front, Z11i runs on OriginOS 6 on top of Android 16.

Camera and Battery
For photography, iQOO Z11i keeps things simple and basic with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. From both camera modules, you can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps. So if you are looking for a mid-range phone with decent optics, then you can look for an option like Redmi Note 15 5G, Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, and Infinix Note 60.

Apart from all the features, the 6500mAh battery in this phone should be one of the major highlights. iQOO claims that this phone can support up to 21 hours of short video playback, up to 9.7 hours of extra-long navigation app use, and up to 32 hours of continuous talktime in call.
Additionally, the company also said that in the 1% low power emergency setting, it provides up to 4 hours of standby time and up to 20 minutes of talk time. If you are someone who is searching for a phone that offers long battery life, then this might be the option you might consider as the option.
