Catering to the emerging market of mobile gaming, Lenovo has announced its Legion Tab globally. Previously, it was China-exclusive under the guise of “Legion Tab Y700” boasting a powerful Snapdragon chip, dual USB-C ports, and a QHD 144Hz display. In this article, let’s a quick peek at the Lenovo Legion Gaming Tablet, its expected price in Nepal, alongside specifications, features, and availability details.

      Lenovo Legion Tab Overview:

      Display and Design

The “Legion” moniker makes it pretty clear that the tablet is targeted at ‘gamers’. It brings an 8.8 “ 144Hz LCD display with 2.5k resolution. That’s Lenovo’s ‘PureSight’ panel with full DCI P3 colors and brightness of up to 500 nits. Moving past that, the Legion Tab is actually really compact for an Android tablet and weighs just around 350 grams.

Design-wise you get to see two USB-C ports; one on the bottom and the other on the side. The latter is a faster USB 3 and also supports Display Port 1.4 for connecting to external displays. Besides that, the tablet is made of metal but features a glass back.

      Performance and Cooling

The gaming tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Although it’s a bit on the older side, the 4nm SoC packs a punch with its prime X2 core at 3.2 GHz, three A710 performance cores, and four other A510 efficiency cores. The Adreno 730 GPU is also plenty capable and should be able to push smooth 90fps on PUBG mobile and provide 60fps on games like Genshin Impact. Complementing that, you get 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS storage.

To keep things in check, the Legion Tab features ‘Legion ColdFront: Vapor thermal solution’ with a large vapor chamber and three performance modes: Beast, Balanced, and Energy Saving.

      Camera and Battery Life

For clicking photos and scanning documents, there is a 13MP main shooter accompanied by a macro lens on the back. You also get an 8MP selfie camera on the top bezel (portrait orientation).  In the tank, you get a 6550mAh battery that supports up to 45W fast charging. The tablet runs on Android 13 and will get 2 years of OS and 4 years of security updates.
