Mivi One 5G debuts with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 120Hz display!

Mivi, a brand better known for its audio products, has officially entered the smartphone market with the Mivi One 5G in India. The company’s first smartphone comes with a large 6.75-inch display, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 50MP camera, and a 6,000mAh battery. The phone also focuses on a clean software experience with Android 16 and comes with 5G connectivity. In this article, I will discuss this phone in detail, including the expected Mivi One 5G price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Mivi One 5G Overview

Design and Display

Starting off with the design, the Mivi One 5G comes with a simple and practical look, featuring a 2.5D PMMA back with a smooth finish. The rear panel has curved edges, while the rectangular camera island sits at the top-left corner and houses the dual-camera setup and LED flash. You could choose between “Blue”, “Burgundy”, “Pink”, “Green”, and “Navy Blue” finishes.

For durability, the phone comes with an IP64 rating, which protects it from dust and water splashes. While it is not meant to be submerged in water, this should offer some added protection during everyday use. 

Moving to the front, the Mivi One 5G sports a 6.75-inch HD+ In-Cell LCD screen. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel relatively smoother. This large panel should be comfortable for watching videos and browsing, although the HD+ resolution means it will not look as sharp as a Full HD+ display, especially with smaller text and finer details.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Mivi One 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, built on a 4nm process. The lower mid-range chipset, so it should handle everyday tasks such as social media, web browsing, video streaming, and messaging without much trouble. However, gaming and other heavy multitasking might not be that smooth.

Memory-wise, it comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 16 with a clean and relatively stock-like interface. Mivi has also promised software updates up to Android 18, which gives the phone a couple of major Android version upgrades.

For optics, the Mivi One 5G features a 50MP primary camera alongside a secondary sensor, while an 8MP selfie camera handles selfies and video calls. The main camera should be fine for casual photography and social media, especially in daylight, although low-light results will likely be more limited. From my experience with budget phones, the overall camera quality will depend more on image processing than the megapixel count.

In terms of battery, the phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 18W charging. The large capacity should comfortably handle a full day of regular use, while the relatively slow charging means topping up the battery will take some time.
