Just a month before the launch of the Motorola Edge 70, it has been spotted on a Polish retailer’s website. There we can see full specifications as well as product images of the Moto Edge 70. So is the ‘impossibly thin‘ device, as claimed by Motorola, as thin as it is advertised? Let’s see what it has coming for us.

Moto Edge 70 Leaks

Thin as it sounds?

The Motorola Edge 70 has been apparently revealed to be just 6 mm, and although it may look thin, it will still be slightly thicker than competitors like the iPhone Air (5.6 mm) and the Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8 mm). But we highly doubt the difference will be noticeable to our human eye. Similarly, it is also just a bit heavier than both of them, weighing 170 grams, while the others weigh 165 grams and 163 grams, respectively.

Other than that, the Motorola Edge 70 looks exactly the same as its predecessor from top to bottom except, of course, for the options “Pantone Bronze Green,” “Pantone Gadget Gray,” and “Pantone Lily Pad.” And it looks like the Bronze Green color features a fabric leather back.

It also looks like the display hasn’t gotten any changes, as it is still a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Snapdragon chip and bigger battery than Apple and Samsung

We are also seeing a Snapdragon chip, presumably the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Previously it was powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7300. The chips are similar, but the Snapdragon chip just slightly outperforms the Dimensity one. It is also likely to boot on Hello UI on top of the Android 16 that was confirmed.

For storage we are getting 12GB of RAM paired with up to 512GB of internal storage.

The battery on the Motorola Edge 70 is a 4,800 mAh cell, which is wildly bigger than what we see in Apple and Samsung. Although it is to be noted it is thicker than the two. Similarly, it will also support 68W wired charging like we have seen before in the Motorola Edge 60. It will now support 15W wireless charging as well.

Camera with OIS and the rest of the details

The optics will include dual 50MP cameras, like at the back, with the primary camera supporting Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The front will also be a 50MP sensor, as stated in the listing.

It is also confirmed that the device will come with dual SIM support that includes a nano-SIM and an eSIM with 5G support. The speakers also come with Dolby Atmos, and we are also seeing a dedicated AI button that is becoming quite common in smartphones nowadays.

Motorola Edge 70 Launch Date

The Motorola Edge 70 will first launch in China with the name Moto X70 Air on November 5. Since we have already seen the listing of the device in other places of the world, it is likely that the global launch for this device will also be close to November 5. Unfortunately, no word has been said about its pricing, but we will be sure to update about it after it has been revealed.
