At MWC 2023 last month, Nokia also unveiled its new logo and announced a strategic shift as well. And now, Nokia has unveiled its own design style called “Pure UI” for B2B (Business to Business) and enterprise applications. Although this design could be available on Nokia smartphones and tablets (which are currently licensed by HMD Global) in the near future, it seems that there are no plans for it at the moment.
Nokia Pure UI Overview:
Clean and minimalistic design
Most device makers have been embracing clean and minimalistic design language these days. In light of this, Nokia has designed its new user interface with similar design principles. “Pure is a flexible, future-proof design system created for and by Nokia,” says the brand.
There are several components, beginning with templates and guidelines that determine the overall appearance. And Nokia Pure typeface will be used throughout the UI here.
Refreshed icons
Nokia Pure UI has completely redesigned icons. They are stroke-based and their thickness can be adjusted to meet the display requirements and capabilities of a given device. Nokia says it has also improved the system animations, making them smoother and more visually appealing than before.
