ZTE Nubia Neo 5 GT Liquid Cooling Special Edition Now Available in Nepal!

ZTE's sub-brand Nubia has launched the Nubia Neo 5 GT Liquid Cooling Special Edition in Nepal, joining the regular Nubia Neo 5 GT. The standard model features a built-in active cooling fan, while the Special Edition takes things further with a new liquid and air dual-active cooling system to manage heat during long gaming sessions. So yeah, in this article, I will discuss everything about the Nubia Neo 5 GT, including its specifications, features, and official price in Nepal. Let's take a look!

Nubia Neo 5 GT Overview

Display and Design

Up front, it has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate that should deliver a smooth gaming experience for fast-paced titles. It also offers a 1.5K resolution, which is pretty good for getting eye-pleasing visuals while playing high-graphics games. On top of that, you get minimal bezels all around, along with peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits for a better visual experience with HDR content.

Active Cooling and shoulder triggers

Additionally, you get an active cooling fan, a thermal system covering 29,508 mm^2, and a Through-flow Duct Design to keep the CPU and battery cool during intense gaming sessions. Nubia's in-house test confirms that the peak temperature remains at 38.9 degrees Celsius even after an hour of intense gaming.

Besides, Nubia Neo 5 GT emphasizes gaming features, including a pressure-sensitive shoulder zone with 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 that should give console-like control while playing demanding titles. This allows precise four-finger control with under 5.5ms latency, offering a 3,049Hz touch sampling rate.

AquaCore Liquid and Air Dual Cooling System

The Special Edition of the Nubia Neo 5 GT features the new AquaCore Cooling System, which combines active liquid cooling with a built-in cooling fan. The liquid cooling system uses a piezoelectric micropump and a three-layer cooling film to circulate non-conductive coolant, transferring heat away from core components like the SoC.

Performance and Software

In terms of performance, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a chip built on a 4nm process. Similar to the Neo 5 GT, other phones like the Infinix Note 60 and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G also use a similar chip, but with a slightly upgraded version. But Nubia backs this hardware with the NeoTurbo Engine, which optimizes system power to ensure smooth, stable gameplay frames.

Regarding gaming, ZTE claims that the phone is officially certified for 120 FPS gameplay in MLBB, delivering an average frame rate of 119.96 FPS with virtually no frame drops. Besides MLBB, the phone should also deliver decent performance on titles like PUBG, Free Fire, and CODM. However, you might need to set the graphics settings to medium to get a good gameplay experience in AAA titles like Genshin Impact.

Memory-wise, this phone comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the software side, it runs on MyOS 16 on top of Android 16 out of the box, bringing the latest software features alongside Nubia's gaming-focused optimizations.

Camera and Battery

While the Nubia Neo 5 GT is clearly built with gamers in mind, it still offers a capable camera setup for everyday photography. On the rear, you'll find a 50MP primary camera with PDAF accompanied by a 2MP macro sensor. In front, it houses a 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.

In terms of battery life, the Nubia Neo 5 GT has a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery that should provide plenty of gaming hours on a single charge. It also supports 80W wired charging for faster top-ups. Additionally, the phone includes Bypass Charging, which supplies power directly to the system during gaming to reduce heat buildup and battery degradation during intense gaming sessions.
