OnePlus Turbo 6 launched with 9000mAh battery and SD 8s Gen 4 SoC

OnePlus has officially expanded its Turbo lineup with the launch of two mid-range smartphones: the OnePlus Turbo 6 and the OnePlus Turbo 6V. This article will focus on the Turbo 6 alongside its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Turbo 6 features a tall, slim profile and a sturdy frame with a squarish camera module. You get IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Likewise, you geta 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz variable refresh rate. The panel also supports a 330Hz touch sampling rate, PWM dimming, and DC dimming, with a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Lastly, the screen is protected by Oppo’s Crystal Shield glass.

Performance

Under the hood, the Turbo 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. This 4nm-based semi-flagship chip features 1 core Cortex-X4 at 3210 MHz, 3 cores Cortex-A720 at 3000 MHz, 2 cores Cortex-A720 at 2800 MHz, and 2 cores Cortex-A720 at 2020 MHz.  OnePlus has coupled it with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Meanwhile, the smartphone boots on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Camera, Battery, and Others

In terms of optics, the Turbo 6 comes with a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor. The rear setup is modest by flagship standards, but given that it's a performance-centric phone, it's understandable.  On the front, you get a 16MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies.

One of the most impressive aspects of the Turbo 6 is its gigantic 9,000mAh battery, which supports 80W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging. It also features bypass charging, which prevents excessive heat buildup during prolonged gaming or heavy use. Connectivity features include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, 5G, VoNR, IR blaster, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
