Is this phone a "new" device from Oppo, or just a rebrand of another Oppo phone?

Oppo brings yet another budget-friendly A-series phone to the Nepali market, designed for users seeking a device that lasts a day. The new Oppo A6c is the direct successor to the OPPO A5x we saw last year, with major improvements. But the specs of this new phone look so familiar to the Oppo A6x 4G we saw in April. For now, I will discuss this new Oppo phone in detail, including the price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
OPPO A6c Overview
Massive Battery
The main highlight of the OPPO A6c is its battery capacity. Moving away from the 6500mAh battery that we saw in the China variant, this new phone packs a huge 7000mAh battery. Here, OPPO provides you with both 15W standard and PD charging support for battery refills. So, it might take several hours for this phone to reach from 0 to 100%.

Design and Display
In terms of design, the OPPO A6c comes with a textured back panel in “Stone Brown”, “Feather Purple”, and “Feather White” finishes. The back of the phone has a rectangular camera island with a matte finish, which houses a 2-sensor setup and an LED flash. While the front comes with a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera. In terms of durability, it comes with an IP64 rating that ensures safe use of the phone in light rain without worry. And OPPO also claims that this phone is responsive even when you touch the screen with a wet hand.

Interestingly, Oppo has hidden the ambient light sensor at the top of the panel, so you need to check before using the opaque third-party screen protector.
Moving on, the OPPO A6c features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution that covers around 90.5% of the front panel. It's good to see the 120Hz refresh rate in a budget phone. With this refresh rate, you might not experience any struggle while scrolling through social media. In terms of color rendering, it has 86% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB coverage. And the visibility on this phone is decent enough for outdoor use in direct sunlight, thanks to its 900-nit HBM mode. With this new Oppo phone, we can expect it to pose tough competition to the Vivo Y11d and the Redmi A7 Pro 4G, which fall in the same budget segment.

Performance and Software
Under the hood, the OPPO A6c comes with an entry-level UNISOC T7250 processor that handles light day-to-day tasks, such as scrolling social media and browsing YouTube, pretty well. But if you are considering this phone for gaming, then you might be disappointed. Nevertheless, casual games like Subway Surfers and Candy Crush should perform decently on this phone.

Memory-wise, you get up to 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. And over time, when you run out of memory, you can also expand this storage using a microSD card. For software, OPPO A6c runs on ColorOS 15 out of the box on top of Android 15.
For 2026, Android 15 sounds quite outdated and leaves this phone a year behind, as its competitors are offering Android 16. If you are looking for this phone for the long term, it might not be the best choice. While the security patch lifespan might be the same as other budget phones, with quarterly updates.
Camera and others
Moving on to the optics, you can see the basic single-camera architecture, which might confuse you with the dual sensor at first glance. Here, it features a 13MP f/2.2 wide-angle rear camera with AF support and a 5MP f/2.2 front camera for selfies and video calls. Though the daylight photos on this phone might look decent, do not expect much in low light or at night. For connectivity, the OPPO A6c supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Who should buy this phone in Nepal?
As Nepal's market shifts and users no longer look only at battery capacity, the OPPO A6c's massive battery cannot be the only selling point. Apart from the battery, all the specifications on this phone look outdated for 2026. If you value battery life above all else, you can go with this phone. But if you are considering it as an option for all-rounder performance, it is not the right choice for you. You can consider other options, such as the Vivo Y21d and the Honor X6c, for better performance.
