Oppo enters the fitness band market with Oppo Band

A few months ago, Oppo launched its first smartwatch. And now, it has launched a fitness band. The new Oppo Band is available in three different variations - Oppo Band, Oppo Band Fashion, and Oppo Band EVA. Oppo Band Overview

Design and Display

From a distance, the Oppo Band looks similar to the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. It has a 1.1-inch rectangular display. Oppo has used an AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 126 x 294. The 2.5D screen covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut, which is crazy good for a budget fitness tracker. The difference between the three variations is in the design of their straps. The base variant comes with a TPU strap while the Oppo Fashion Band has a floating design with a strap made up of metal and TPU. Oppo Band EVA is a special edition Fashion Band with Neon Genesis Evangelion-inspired theme. Oppo had also recently announced a limited-edition Ace2 x EVA and Watch x EVA with Neon Genesis Evangelion theme.

Compatibility

It is powered by the same Apollo chip 3 that the brand used in the Oppo Watch. You can connect it to your device via Bluetooth 5.0. It is compatible with devices that run Android 6.0 or above. It can also be connected to Apple devices with iOS 10.0 or above.

Features

The Oppo Band supports 12 different tracking modes. It also features a heart rate monitor, and a SpO2 sensor to determine the oxygen saturation level in the blood. You can use the Oppo Band for viewing app notification, alerts, music control, and weather update. It also has a find my phone feature that can be used to locate your device if you misplace it. The Fashion Band edition also supports NFC payment.

Battery and Others

The Oppo band features a 100mAh battery that the brand claims can last up to 14 days. It uses a pin charger that can be charged from 0 to 100% within 90 minutes. It is rated 5ATM against water damage.

Oppo Band Price in Nepal and Availability

The Oppo band is available in China, where its price is ¥199, ¥249, and ¥299 for the regular, Fashion, and EVA edition respectively.
