OPPO has confirmed that its upcoming Find X9 series of flagship phones is launching globally. And just like the Vivo X300 series, the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will also be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 processor.
OPPO Find X9 Series rumors
Flagship chipset
Like I mentioned earlier, the Find X9 Series will be among the first phones to taste the Dimensity 9500 chip. This MediaTek-made processor goes directly toe to toe with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Apple’s A19 Pro on the new iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Dimensity 9500 looks pretty impressive on paper, with its “all big core” design. Unlike how Qualcomm uses its self-designed “Oryon” CPU cores, MediaTek went with Arm’s next-gen CPUs here. For 32% better single-core and 17% better multi-core performance. Whereas its Mali-G1 Ultra GPU promises 33% better performance.
The Find X9 series is also said to come with OPPO’s Trinity Engine that enhances the chipset even further and helps it achieve peak performance. The engine also gives an introduction to Android’s first Unified Computing Power Model.

ColorOS 16
Along with the chipset, OPPO has revealed that the Find X9 series will be the first to boot with the new ColorOS 16, based on Android 16. ColorOS 16 comes with a bunch of system-wide upgrades and visual changes—including a “Liquid Glass UI” design like iOS 26.
Additionally, the devices will also offer a larger battery compared to their respective predecessors. Firstly, the OPPO Find X9 is confirmed to house a massive 7,025 mAh battery versus 5,630 mAh on the Find X8. While the Find X9 Pro will come with an even larger 7,500 mAh battery compared to a 5,910 mAh unit on the Find X8 Pro.
Updated design and cameras
OPPO has also officially unveiled the updated design of the Find X9 series. It will come in three colors: “Velvet Sand Titanium,” “Velvet Light Titanium,” “Frost White,” and “Mist Black”, and with a squarish camera module instead of a circular one. Similar to the OnePlus 15.
And of course, the biggest highlight of OPPO’s forthcoming flagships will be the cameras themselves. Unlike how OnePlus said goodbye to its Hasselblad partnership with the OnePlus 15, the Find X9 duo still retains Hasselblad optimization.
Other than this, we also know that the Find X9 Pro will come with a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 periscope camera. Both of them will host a 50MP primary, a 50MP ultrawide, and a color spectrum sensor as well.
Furthermore, the Find X9 will have a 6.59-inch display, while the X9 Pro will boast a 6.78-inch screen. Rumors suggest that OPPO has decided to go with flat AMOLED panels this time instead of a curved one, so that’s a pretty interesting development. These displays also feature a full-scene 1-nit eye-care mode, which is compatible with all apps on the device, along with a 3,840 Hz PWM dimming for comfort.
OPPO Find X9 Series launch date
In China, the OPPO Find X9 series is officially making its debut on October 15. And like I mentioned at the very beginning, these phones will be launching globally as well, as confirmed by OPPO’s Chief Product Officer, Pete Lau himself.
