Infinix GT 30 Review: The ultimate budget gaming phone

0

Infinix has been on a roll these past three months. Following the remarkable success of the Hot 60 Pro/60 Pro+ series and the Note 50s, the company has dropped another midrange contender – the Infinix GT 30. Now his phone serves as the more affordable sibling to the GT 30 Pro, and the pricing strategy is quite something to behold.

While the GT 30 Pro launched at Rs. 48,000, the GT 30 undercuts it significantly at just Rs. 37,000 for the identical 8/256GB configuration. That sort of pricing makes it the cheapest gaming phone currently available in Nepal. But beyond the gaming crowd, the specifications sheet suggests this could be a solid all-rounder, particularly when you consider the limited options under Rs. 40,000 in the local market.

Infinix GT 30 5G Specifications:

Infinix GT 30 Review

Design

The GT 30’s design language appears to mirror its pricier sibling exactly, as they maintain those unmistakable gaming aesthetics that either love it or hate it. Four customizable RGB strips dominate the rear panel, which ultimately give us a flashy gaming phone look that’s become synonymous with the genre past couple of years.

More importantly, though, are the two capacitive touch shoulder controls positioned on the phone’s sides. While, its expected for people to be suspicious of them, if they are only for the show but indeed they’re genuinely fast and responsive, which allows mapping to on-screen controls during gameplay.

The build quality revolves around plastic construction, which might sound like a compromise but actually works in the phone’s favor. And It’s remarkably lightweight as well And it is for certain, from our experience, that your hands won’t cramp up even after long use. And there’s IP64 dust and water resistance thrown into the mix. However, I can also expect that this RGB-heavy design will also polarize opinions, hence a skin or cover in my opinion is a necessity.

Display

Infinix GT 30 Display

The display we get in the GT 30 truly is really good; it inherits the same panel as the GT 30 Pro. We’re talking about a 144Hz AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, pushing nearly 1900 nits of brightness in auto mode. But the real kicker is the 2304Hz PWM dimming – whihc makes sure your eyes won’t feel strained ever after long and extensive usages. Touch response deserves special mention here. Whether you’re scrolling through interfaces, typing messages, or engaging in fast-paced gaming, the responsiveness feels spot-on. The AMOLED technology, combined with that impressive brightness ceiling, transforms movie watching into a genuinely engaging experience.

Infinix has paired this with stereo speakers that deliver adequate volume levels. The sound quality sits in average territory – loud enough for casual use but nothing that’ll blow you away. One notable omission is HDR support for major streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, which feels like a missed opportunity at this price point. Still, when you step back and look at the complete package under Rs. 40,000, this display easily earns top marks.

Performance

The performance story centers around the Dimensity 7400 chipset, and this is one of the best part of this phone. This processor outperforms what you’d typically find in Samsung, Vivo, OPPO, Nothing, and even Xiaomi devices at similar price points. That sort of positioning gives the GT 30 a genuine competitive edge.

Infinix has clearly spent time optimizing the system UI and animations. Coming from something like Samsung’s Galaxy M36, the difference in fluidity becomes immediately apparent. The GT 30 feels notably faster and more immersive in daily use. And mind you, that 144Hz refresh rate isn’t something you find in normal phone.

The haptic feedback motor deserves praise too. It’s genuinely good, adding that tactile dimension certainly made my experience so much better. And Infinix’s UI has evolved considerably over time. Bloatware is kept to a minimum, creating an experience that feels closer to stock Android than heavily skinned alternatives. Starting with Android 15 out of the box, plus a commitment to two years of OS updates, the software longevity also looks promising.

Gaming Performance

Infinix GT 30 performance

Gaming performance is where the GT 30 needs to prove its worth, and it largely delivers. Infinix’s long-standing partnership with PUBG Mobile really shows here – the game runs smoothly at 90fps with solid stability and respectable 5% lows.  Lighter titles like Freefire and Mobile Legends handle without breaking a sweat. However, demanding games like Genshin Impact will push the Dimensity 7400 to its limits. While playable, don’t expect the same level of performance you’d get from flagship chipsets.

Battery Life

Infinix Note 30 Battery and Charging

The 5500mAh battery delivers solid all-day performance, which is exactly what you want from a gaming phone. Paired with the 45W charging solution, you’re looking at roughly an hour for a complete charge cycle. That sort of charging speed ensures downtime stays minimal.

Camera System

The camera setup consists of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide, and 13MP selfie camera. This is where the GT 30 shows its budget roots most clearly. The 64MP main camera, while adequate for casual photography, lacks the detail you’d expect, particularly in 2X portrait shots where the quality drops noticeably.

Daylight photography produces acceptable results when lighting conditions cooperate. But there’s a persistent software issue with exposure handling – tapping the screen to adjust focus often results in exposure inconsistencies. Hopefully, future software updates will address this particular quirk.

The 8MP ultra-wide camera and selfie performance sit firmly in average territory. Video recording maxes out at 4K 30fps, which sounds good on paper, but stabilization leaves something to be desired.

For basic photography needs, it gets the job done, but don’t expect miracles. This is clearly where corners were cut to hit that Rs. 37,000 price point.

Infinix GT 30 Review: Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Excellent  display
  • Strongperformance
  • 90fps PUBG gaming
  • Good battery life

Cons:

  • Average camera quality
  • Polarizing RGB design

Infinix GT 30 Review: Conclusion

The Infinix GT 30 manages to surprise in ways that budget gaming phones rarely do. What initially appeared to be just another basic gaming device reveals itself as a well-rounded smartphone that happens to excel at gaming.

If you can embrace that funky, RGB-laden aesthetic, i think there’s genuine value here. The display impresses consistently, performance feels snappy in daily use, battery life delivers the distance, and 256GB storage means space won’t be an issue anytime soon. Even the cameras, while not stellar, can do decent job.

At Rs. 37,000, the GT 30 represents solid value in Nepal’s smartphone landscape. It’s not perfect – the plastic build and average cameras remind you this isn’t a flagship device. But for users prioritizing performance, display quality, and gaming capabilities over camera prowess, this phone makes a compelling case indeed.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) arrives with a new “Cinema Mode”

The second iteration of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones has made its debut. Bose says the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) feature better noise cancellation as well as minor performance and feature upgrades. So in this article, let’s take a closer look at the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen), including their expected price in Nepal.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) Overview

Design

Although Bose mentioned an updated design, the 2nd Gen QuietComfort Ultra Headphones look exactly the same as their predecessor. But it now comes in a couple of new color options besides the usual Black and White finishes that Bose calls “Midnight Violet” and “Driftwood Sand”.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) design

The only thing that’s kinda different, design-wise, is that its frames now have this polished metal finish. It still has the same “protein leather” ear cushions and weighs around 264 grams.

Audio and noise cancellation

One of the most notable upgrades on these 2nd Gen headphones is that they now support wired audio via USB-C. As a result, you can now stream lossless wired audio at up to 16-bit / 44.1kHz or 48kHz. These QuietComfort Ultra Headphones also have a new “Cinema Mode” that essentially transforms whatever video content you’re playing into something with spatial audio.

Bose says the Cinema Mode “spatializes and balances surround sound and dialogue of video content” for a “movie-like experience”.

And of course, the 2nd Gen QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are the best noise-cancelling earcans Bose has ever made. It features next-gen “ActiveSense” technology to reduce occasional noise spikes, whereas Bose’s “CustomTune” technology can also calibrate audio and noise cancellation based on the shape of your ears.

Battery life and the rest

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones 2nd Gen can last up to 30 hours on a single charge with either Quiet (ANC) or Aware (transparency) mode. While that number drops to 23 hours under “Immersive Audio” mode, which is Bose’s take on spatial audio.

You can expect a full refill for these headphones in 3 hours, and around 3 hours’ worth of playback after plugging them in for 15 minutes.

Bose has also improved their on-head detection to automatically power off the headphones. There is an even simpler disconnect feature that puts them into a “low-power standby mode” once you lay the headphones flat on a surface.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen) Modes to choose from App

And like always, the 2nd Gen QuietComfort Ultra Headphones pair to your phone via the Bose app. These headphones also support multipoint connectivity via Bluetooth 5.4, high-res audio codecs like Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, and a 2.5mm headphone jack.

Lava Bold N1 launched in India as the cheapest 5G smartphone

Soon after the release of the Lava Bold N1 4G, the company launched its 5G variant as well. The new Lava Bold N1 5G has quite a few changes in relation to the 4G variant, and it snatches the “cheapest 5G phone” title from Lava’s own Shark 5G. Therefore, let’s dive into everything this phone has to offer, as well as the expected price in Nepal of the Lava Bold N1 5G.

Lava Bold N1 5G Overview

Design and display

The Bold N1 5G looks quite a bit different from its 4G counterpart. Since its rear camera module now sits in a rounded-corner box like on Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max.

It comes in two colors that Lava calls “Royal Blue” and “Champagne Gold”, both with a glossy back design. And overall, this phone is IP54 dust and splash-resistant rated too.

Lava Bold N1 5G designFor the display, the Lava Bold N1 5G brings a large 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. This screen also gets a 90Hz refresh rate, but since it’s a budget phone, don’t expect any special glass protection here.

Performance and battery

The Lava Bold N1 5G is powered by the Unisoc T765 (6nm) chipset that Lava claims manages to score 400,000+ in AnTuTu. This 5G chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.

Not to mention, it is further expandable to 1TB via a microSD card. The Bold N1 5G boots on Android 15—and guess what?—it’s also completely free of bloatware or ads.

Moving to the cameras, there’s a 13MP sensor at the back alongside an auxiliary lens that Lava hasn’t detailed. At the front is a 5MP selfie shooter inside a teardrop notch.

What’s interesting is that Lava says the Bold N1 5G’s main camera can even shoot 4K 30 fps videos, which is incredibly rare in this segment. We doubt it will actually be any good, but this is a pretty bold move from Lava.

Other than this, the Lava Bold N1 5G supports up to two SIM cards. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

Lava Bold N1 5G Specifications:

HP Omen 16 (2025) arrives in Nepal with RTX 50 series graphics!

0

Alongside the regular Omen 16, HP also unveiled the Omen Max 16 at CES 2025 with self-cleaning fans that can reverse their direction to blow out dust. And while the Omen Max 16 is still not available in Nepal, the good news is that the HP Omen 16 2025 has finally arrived here. With Intel’s “Raptor Lake-HX Refresh” 14th Gen processor and NVIDIA’s RTX-50 series GPU! So, without any delay, let’s dive into its specification, features, and price in Nepal for the HP Omen 16.

HP Omen 16 2025 Overview

Design and display

The 2025 edition of the Omen 16 lineup features a redesigned look that seems cleaner and more minimal. Like HP’s “Transcend” laptops from last year. There’s an “OMEN” logo on the lid alongside an “O16” branding on the left side of the chassis. It’s available in a single “Shadow Black” color option in Nepal, and weighs around 2.43 kg with a thickness of around 25mm.

HP Omen 16 2025 design white and black

And one of the upgrades on the HP Omen 16 2025 is in terms of the display. The Omen 16 now gets a 16-inch IPS panel with a smooth 240Hz refresh rate and a fast 3ms response time. This is also a pretty sharp screen thanks to its WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution, whereas HP has blessed it with things like 100% sRGB colors, 500 nits of brightness, and an anti-glare coating as well. Making it near-perfect for gaming or even content creation.

Last-gen CPU + latest GPU

As I mentioned above, the HP Omen 16 available in Nepal has been configured with Intel’s “Raptor Lake-HX Refresh” 14th Gen processors. This includes:

  • Core i7-14650HX with 16 cores, 24 threads, and a 5.2 GHz boost clock, or
  • Core i9-14900HX with 24 cores, 32 threads, and a 5.8 GHz boost clock.

Both CPUs do not disappoint in terms of performance and should handle all sorts of gaming and other heavy tasks with relative ease.

Intel Core 14th Gen Desktop Processors Price in Nepal

But just so you know, HP has configured the Omen 16 2025 with Intel’s newer “Arrow Lake-H” 15th Gen processors as well in the international market. Or even with AMD’s new Ryzen AI “Strix Point” CPUs. So we hope those variants land in Nepal shortly as well.

As for the graphics, we get NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 GPU on both models with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. And this has been paired with 16GB RAM on the Core i7 version, whereas the Core i9 version gets 32GB of DDR5 (5600MT/s) RAM.

You can, of course, upgrade them up to 64GB via the two SO-DIMM slots as well. Storage is handled by 1TB Gen 4 NVMe SSDs on both models.

Everything else

For I/O ports, the Omen 16 2025 has three USB-A connections in total, one HDMI 2.1, one USB-C, one RJ45, and one headphone jack. Its full-sized keyboard features a 4-zone RGB backlight, while HP has also thrown in a 1080p webcam for video calls, a standard stereo speaker setup for this gaming laptop, and a decent 70Wh battery.

HP Omen 16 2025 Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 357.38 × 269 × 23.8 – 25.4 mm
  • Weight: 2.43 kg
  • Display: 16-inch IPS panel, WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, 100% sRGB, anti-glare matte finish

The new Moto G06 Power comes with a giant 7,000 mAh battery

Alongside the Moto G06, Motorola has also announced the Moto G06 Power. These two phones are practically one and the same, except that the G06 Power has a longer-lasting 7000 mAh battery. And it also charges faster. So in this article, we will look at the full official specifications, features, as well as the expected price in Nepal of the Motorola Moto G06 Power.

Motorola Moto G06 Power Overview:

Design and display

Like I mentioned above, the Moto G06 Power is almost the same phone as the regular Moto G06. It has the same curved edge design that continues to flow seamlessly into the side panel of the phone. Along with that, it is also IP64 dust and splash-resistant and comes in a couple of colorful finishes.

Motorola Moto G06 Power design

On the display front, the Moto G06 Power gets a 6.88-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. This screen also supports “Water Touch” so that you can use it even when your hands are wet.

Performance and camera

Motorola has blessed the Moto G06 Power with the new MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, which unironically has the same specifications as the Helio G81 Ultra before it. You can pair this processor with either 4/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The Moto G06 Power runs on Android 15, while Motorola promises 2 years of security updates for this phone. But unfortunately, this budget phone will be stuck at Android 15 since Motorola hasn’t committed to any OS upgrades here.

For the optics, we have a 50MP rear camera as well as an 8MP selfie shooter. Both of these can shoot at up to 1080p / 30 fps.

You may also like

Battery and rest

Finally, the battery is where this device separates itself from the G06. That’s because the Moto G06 Power has a massive 7,000 mAh battery. This also makes it slightly thicker and slightly heavier than the regular Moto G06.

To fuel this battery, Motorola has given 18W wired charging support. And the company says you can expect up to 7 hours of power with this phone after plugging it in for just 15 minutes. Besides all this, the Moto G06 Power has stereo speakers, NFC support, and a couple of AI features like “Circle to Search” and Google’s Gemini baked in.

Motorola Moto G06 Power Specifications:

  • Dimensions and Weight: 171.35 x 77.50 x 8.82 mm, 220 g, IP64 rating
  • Display: 6.88-inch LCD screen, HD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128/256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI
  • Rear Camera: Single (50MP primary)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, Proximity, Sensor hub
  • Battery: 7000 mAh with 18W charging (18W power adapter provided)

Motorola Moto G06 Power Price in Nepal

For all that it brings, the Moto G06 Power feels like it’s priced pretty reasonably at GBP 90 (~USD 121 / INR 10,720) for the 4/64GB model. So we expect the price of the Motorola Moto G06 Power in Nepal to start at around NPR 16,999 when it launches here shortly.

Moto G06 announced with MediaTek’s Helio G81 Extreme processor

Motorola’s newest lineup of budget phones in the Moto G series has arrived. The new Moto G06 does have some quality improvements over its predecessor, but there honestly isn’t much to look forward to here. In any case, let’s discuss the full official specification and features of the Motorola Moto G06, including its expected price in Nepal.

Motorola Moto G06 Overview:

Design and display

Design-wise, it looks quite similar to the Moto G05, except for a few things. It’s now available in a couple of new color options that Motorola calls “Pantone Tapestry” (navy blue-ish), “Pantone Arabesque” (bright orange), “Pantone Tendril” (green), and “Pantone Laurel Oak” (greyish). And of course, all of them have a leather-like finish to them.

The camera module has also slightly changed to blend completely with the back panel now, although the Moto G06 now has a teardrop notch for the selfie shooter. Compared to a cleaner hole-punch cutout on its predecessor.

Motorola Moto G06 design

For the display, the Motorola Moto G06 boasts a massive 6.88-inch HD+ display with an IPS panel that can reach up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers up to 600 nits of peak brightness, while Motorola has also secured Gorilla Glass 3 protection for this screen. On that note, the entire phone is IP64 dust and splash-resistant, too.

Performance and battery

In terms of performance, the Motorola Moto G06 uses MediaTek’s Helio G81 Extreme. Which, unfortunately, is the exact same chip as the Helio G81 Ultra on the Moto G05. You can pair this processor with 4/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage, which can be further extended via a microSD card.

Motorola has also stuck with the same 5,200 mAh battery as before. But what I don’t understand is that the charging speed on the Moto G06 has now gone down from 18W to just 10W. What’s going on here, Motorola?

You may also like

Camera and the rest

The camera side of things hasn’t changed either. Motorola Moto G06 still features a 50MP rear camera paired with an 8MP front camera. Both of these are capable of capturing FHD (1080p) videos at up to 30 fps.

That being said, the Moto G06 does get some AI features. Like Google’s Circle to Search as well as Gemini. Motorola also says its cameras use AI-powered features to boost the quality of portrait images and low-light photos automatically.

The phone runs on Android 15 out of the box, and that’s it. Motorola says the G06 won’t be tasting Android 16, although it will receive 2 years of security updates. Other than this, the Moto G06 has stereo speakers as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio. It also supports NFC and dual-band WiFi.

Motorola Moto G06 Specifications:

  • Dimensions and Weight: 171.35 x 77.50 x 8.31 mm, 194 g, IP64 rating
  • Display: 6.88-inch LCD screen, HD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128/256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI
  • Rear Camera: Single (50MP primary)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, Proximity, Sensor hub
  • Battery: 5200 mAh with 10W charging (10W power adapter provided)

Motorola Moto G06 Price in Nepal and Availability

The price of the Motorola Moto G06 starts at around GBP 70 (~USD 95 / INR 8,339) in the UK. As such, we expect the price of the Moto G06 budget phone in Nepal to be around NPR 12,999 for the 4/64GB model when it launches here shortly.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G launched in Nepal with budget-friendly specs

0

Ai+ dropped their first smartphones in India—the Pulse and Nova 5G—a couple of months ago. Both of these phones are particularly made to target the budget segment and a similar demographic in India. And these phones have now officially landed in Nepal as well, with Chaudhary Group (CG) as the official distributor. So let’s discuss everything about the Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G, including their official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G Overview:

Display and design

Both phones rock a 6.7-inch HD+ display, but there’s a key difference. The Pulse gets a 90Hz refresh rate while the Nova 5G bumps it up to 120Hz. Which, for budget phones, is pretty decent since most budget phones are still stuck at 60Hz.

Moving on, design-wise, both devices follow a minimalist approach with clean lines and a premium feel despite the budget pricing. The Pulse measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 193g, while the Nova 5G is slightly thinner at 8.2mm but weighs a bit more at 196g.

AI plus nova and pulse price in Nepal

You’re definitely getting a sleek profile that certainly wouldn’t feel cheap in hand. Meanwhile, the rear camera module has a modern rectangular design with the Ai+ branding prominently displayed. Both phones come in multiple color options and feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Performance and software

As for performance, the Ai+ Pulse runs on the Unisoc T615 (12nm) octa-core processor with 4GB or 6GB RAM options. The Nova 5G steps up with a more powerful Unisoc T8200 (6nm) chip and comes with 6GB or 8GB RAM.

Both phones run NxtQuantum OS based on Android 15, which is built by nxtQ.

The company promises zero bloatware and secure Indian data storage on MeitY-approved Google Cloud regions. Plus, these phones also follow a zero-trust security framework. Ai+ says both these phones will get the Android 16 update and 3 years of security patches too.

Cameras and battery

The camera setup is identical on both phones. This includes a 50MP rear camera with autofocus and a 5MP selfie camera with fixed focus. Nothing groundbreaking, but it should handle basic photography. Battery life looks solid with a 5000mAh cell in both devices. The charging is pretty basic at 10W, so you’ll need patience when plugging in.

Connectivity and features

The Pulse sticks to dual 4G while the Nova 5G obviously gets dual 5G support. Both have dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (which is nice to see). You’re also getting FM radio, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the usual sensors. The phones come with NxtPrivacy Dashboard, NxtSafe Space, and NxtMove App.

Huawei FreeBuds 7i launched with new design and 28dB noise cancellation

0

Huawei launched the FreeBuds 7i alongside the Mate XTs, (which we’ve already covered elsewhere). Now this guy features a redesigned charging case, stem-style earbuds, and some upgraded audio tech compared to its predecessor, the FreeBuds 6i. In this article, i will discuss everything about the latest Huawei FreeBuds 7i, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Huawei FreeBuds 7i Overview

Design and Build

The charging case has shifted from an oval shape in the 6i to a round design whereas the earbuds themselves have a stem design with in-ear silicone tips and come with four sizes.  Each earbud weighs arund 5.4 grams, while the case comes in at 36.5 grams. The earbuds are IP54 rated for dust and water resistance, though the charging case isn’t water-resistant.

Audio and Connectivity

Inside, the FreeBuds 7i have 11mm quad-magnet dynamic drivers, and Huawei says the sound tuning is improved and naturally balanced. The frequency response ranges from 20Hz to 40kHz, and they support Hi-Res Audio. Bluetooth 5.4 allows multi-point pairing, so you can connect to two devices at once, and codecs include SBC, AAC, L2HC 2.0, and LDAC. Active Noise Cancellation is handled by Intelligent Dynamic ANC 4.0, with Huawei claiming up to 28dB noise reduction and a faster 0.5-second response.

But one thing to note: unlike smartphones, you can’t really judge earbuds just by specs. Tuning matters more than anything, and the only way to know if they click with your ears is to listen. Features we can assess objectively include touch controls, which support swipes and taps, and wearing detection, which pauses audio when you remove the buds.

Battery and Charging

Each earbud has a 55.5 mAh battery, while the case holds 510 mAh. Playback with ANC off goes up to 8 hours per bud and 35 hours total with the case. With ANC on, expect up to 5 hours per bud. Charging time is around 40 minutes for the earbuds, 60 minutes for the case, and 60 minutes if charging both together via USB Type-C. Meanwhile, the earbuds support Huawei’s voice assistant on HarmonyOS 2.0+

Huawei FreeBuds 7i Specifications

  • Drivers: 11mm quad-magnet dynamic
  • Sound Tuning: Improved, naturally balanced
  • Frequency Response: 20Hz–40kHz

Nubia Air launched with ultra-slim design and 5,000mAh battery

0

Recently, we had discussed Tecno’s latest super-slim smartphones, the Spark Slim and Pova Slim, and now it looks like the industry is chasing two directions at once: slimmer phones and bigger batteries. Nubia just dropped the Air, which is very much in that ultra-thin lane. This article will discuss everything about the latest Nubia Air, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Nubia Air Overview

Display and Design

Nubia air price design adn display

Although not as slim as the Spark Slim, the Nubia Air is indeed slim 6.7 mm across, with the thinnest point at 5.9 mm. It also weighs really low at 172 grams, which could easily make it feel almost like a feather in the hand. And I can’t stress enough that, i do find the ultra-thin design oddly satisfying, but on a general level, i prefer phones that have a bit more heft, not too heavy, not too light. But I get why people are chasing these slim designs; they look futuristic and fit nicely in the pocket.

On the display side, it packs a 6.78-inch AMOLED display at 1,224 × 2,720 px resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i. Peak brightness goes up to 4,500 nits, but it shouldn’t be confused with typical brightness. Meaning the hits way less during normal usage. There’s a selfie camera embedded in a punch-hole cutout, and the in-display fingerprint scanner sits at the bottom.

Performance and Software

At its core is a Unisoc T8300 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Sadly, It’s a very basic chipset that will not handle heavy performance or even gaming. But despite featuring such a cheap processor and being so thin, Nubia isn’t cutting corners on durability, as it’s IP68/IP69K rated for dust and pressurized hot water jets.

Camera and Battery

The back has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth helper, and a 0.08MP auxiliary lens. The 5,000mAh battery is interesting because, these days, the trend is leaning toward even bigger batteries, sometimes 7,000mAh or more. Personally, I used to think low-battery phones were actually healthier, as you wouldn’t be doomscrolling all day. But after facing two days of loadshedding during heavy rainfall, I’ve had to drop that moralizing. Battery life suddenly feels very real and perhaps there’s nothing wrong with wanting more.

The phone supports 33W charging, which is comparatively low with the current standards, its decent enough for a battery that isn’t as big as 7000 mAh .

Nubia Air Specifications

  • Display: 6.78-inch AMOLED, 1,224 × 2,720 px, 120Hz, 4,500 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i
  • Processor: Unisoc T8300
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 256GB
  • Rear Camera: 50MP main, 2MP depth, 0.08MP auxiliary
  • Front Camera: 20MP punch-hole

  • Build: 6.7 mm thin (5.9 mm at thinnest), 172 grams, IP68/IP69K

Lenovo Legion Go 2 launched with OLED display, Ryzen Z2, and more

Lenovo has officially unveiled the Legion Go 2, the successor to last year’s Legion Go. While it retains much of the original’s design, there are indeed notable upgrades compared to its predecessor, which include a new processor and a larger battery. In this article, i will discuss everything about the latest Legion Go 2, including its price in India, specifications, and availability.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 Overview

Design & Display

Lenovo legion go 2 design and display

The Legion Go 2 maintains the same 8.8-inch form factor as its predecessor. But the display now has been upgraded to a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR TrueBlack 1000 certification. I think it should be obvious that the OLED panel will now significantly improve the visual aspect, which was severely limited by the IPS panel in Go 1. But it does come with a caveat, and its the fact that the device is  nowslightly heavier than the original, weighing approximately 920 grams, but increase in weight has to do with battery size more than anything, which we will also discuss shortly.

Performance & Hardware

Under the hood, the Legion Go 2 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 or Z2 Extreme processors, paired with Radeon 890M graphics. It supports up to 32GB of 8000MHz LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, with expandable microSD support.

Battery & Charging

As i said above, one of the significant improvements is the battery. The Legion Go 2 comes equipped with a 74Wh battery, a 50% increase over the original’s 49.2Wh cell. This increase should promise far more battery life than it could have expected in the Go 1. Charging options also includes dual USB4 ports and a fingerprint reader which is integrated into the power button for security.

Other Features

The detachable TrueStrike controllers have been redesigned for better ergonomics and now feature hall-effect joysticks to reduce drift. The device also includes Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Lenovo Legion Go 2 Specifications

  • Display: 8.8-inch WUXGA OLED, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR TrueBlack 1000 certification
