The service provides limited data per device daily and aims to bridge digital divides in under-connected areas.

Telecom Companies’ Concerns

While this comes off as a rumor, Telecom providers including Nepal Telecom (NTC) and Ncell, have reportedly raised concerns that the free WiFi service has led to lost revenue, as users can avoid mobile data plans. They claim that this has greatly affected their profits, and were compelled to request the service shutdown.

NTA’s Review Process
