POCO's latest flagship is finally here, and it's trying hard to justify the "Pro" badge. The F8 Pro brings a telephoto camera to the Pro lineup for the first time, along with Snapdragon 8 Elite power and some interesting design choices. Now, let's jump in this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest POCO F8 Pro, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

      POCO F8 Pro Overview

      Design and Display

      undefined

POCO's gone all-in on the premium look this time. The F8 Pro features their first one-piece milled glass design, meaning they're carving the back panel from a single 2mm glass block through CNC machining. It goes through 3 carving stages and 41 processes. The phone weighs 199g and measures 8mm thin. You get a glossy-matte finish combo: frosted back with a glossy rectangular camera area. The metal middle frame has a micro-curve design, and its also IP68 dust and water-resistant.

Tuning to display, POCO's calling it the "HyperRGB" display, which is a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with full RGB subpixel structure. It's not true 2K, but they claim it looks like 2K thanks to how the subpixels are arranged. Resolution sits at 2510 x 1156. The upside here is that It uses 22.3% less power than the previous generation. Moreover, Peak brightness hits 3500 nits, and it can go as low as 1 nit for late-night scrolling. You also get a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling, and DC dimming for eye comfort. It's protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

      Performance and Cooling

The F8 Pro runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite, built on a 3nm process. It scored 3,284,129 on AnTuTu, and which by the way was last year's flagship chip. Here, POCO's apparently using their “WildBoost Optimisation” to manage CPU and GPU loads.

Moreover, cooling here is provided by a 3D triple-layer IceLoop system. The design increases the distance between the screen and heat pipe to reduce surface heat, while keeping the pipe close to the chipset. And despite the more compact body, POCO claims a 40% increase in thermal capacity compared to the F7 Pro.

      Camera System

      undefined

And the biggest deal has to be the fact that F8 Pro is the first in POCO's Pro lineup to feature a telephoto camera. It's a 50MP sensor with 2.5x optical zoom (good for portraits) and 5x lossless in-sensor zoom. There's also telephoto motion capture for moving subjects. In addition to that, the main camera uses a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS. You also get an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Software-wise, you can shoot 1440P dynamic shots with EIS and HDR. There are film filters,  positive for soft tones, negative for that vintage high-contrast look. Plus, there's an AI assistant to help with editing, though we'll need to see how useful it actually is.

      Battery and Charging

The battery is a massive 6210mAh unit, which POCO says gives over 16 hours of continuous use. And for the first time in a POCO phone, you get 100W HyperCharge. You are also getting a 22.5W reverse charging option.  Oh, by the way, there's also "Smart Charging" that adjusts speed based on battery level, temperature, and what you're doing on the phone.

Moving on, the Poco F8 Pro comes with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 run on top of Android 16, which brings HyperIsland for multitasking notifications, HyperConnect for cross-device file sharing, and HyperAI with AI Writing tools. There's also Gemini integration for AI tasks.

      Audio and Software

The F8 Pro has dualsymmetric speakers co-tuned with Bose. You get two sound profiles: "Dynamic" forbass, and "Balanced" for vocals. It adapts based on what you're doing. Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Wireless, and Dolby Atmos are all supported.

Similarly, connectivity is pretty typical as it includes eSIM support, Bluetooth, WiFi 7 and so on. But additionally, you also get Xiaomi's Surge T1+ Tuner and Offline Communication that lets you make voice calls over a kilometer without network coverage.
