Design, Display
The Realme 9 Pro+ is a slim and light phone that weighs around 182 grams. The back is glass while the phone is 7.99mm thick. Besides, the color options available are Midnight Black, Aurora Green, and Sunrise Blue. The color-changing “Light Shift Design” is only available on the Sunrise Blue variant.
Furthermore, the Realme 9 Pro+ has a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel on the front. The FHD+ display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Performance
The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 5G based on TSMC’s 6nm process. It has a 2+6 core architecture with Cortex-A78 (@2.5GHz) as the performance cores and Cortex-A55 (2.0GHz) as the efficiency cores. Meanwhile, Mali-G68 GPU handles the graphics.
Realme 9 Pro+ uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage although the chipset supports LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is available in two variants: 6/128GB and 8/128GB.
Cameras, Others
The Realme 9 Pro+ holds three cameras on the back. The 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 sensor is the star of the show. It supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Besides this, there is an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. The front houses a 16MP sensor inside the punch-hole for selfies and video calls.
Moving on, the 4500mAh battery on the Realme 9 Pro+ supports 60W fast charging. According to Realme, the phone juices up completely in just 44 minutes. The in-display fingerprint scanner on the handset also functions as a heart rate sensor now. Furthermore, the phone boots on Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0.
