Design, Display
The Realme 9i features Realme's new Prism design. The back gets its texture from over 3,000 precisely machined lines. Besides, the phone has 8 layers of optical coating for light refraction on the Prism Blue colorway. The phone is also available in Prism Black Black. As for the build quality, the frame and back are made up of plastic.
Performance
Realme has gone with the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset for the Realme 9i. Compared to the 12nm Helio G96 on the Realme 8i, this chipset gives a significant improvement in thermal efficiency. Realme offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The handset comes with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box. It is set to receive the Realme UI 3.0 (Android 12) update in July of 2022.

Moving on, the Realme 9i features a new camera bump that takes cues from the more premium GT-series phones. The primary camera is a 50MP f/1.8 sensor, followed by a2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. Moreover, the front camera is a 16MP sensor with an f/2.1 aperture.
