Design, Display
The Galaxy A52s has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and the smartphone is dust and water-resistant according to IP67 standards.
In terms of design, you get a matte finish on the back along with a rectangular camera module while the front has a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout. Likewise, it features a rather slender design at 8.4mm and weighs 189 grams. The Galaxy A52s come in four colors: “Awesome” Black, Green, Violet, and White. The white color variant, however, is not available in Nepal.
Performance
Under the hood, the smartphones is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. It’s an 6nm mobile platform which features 4 x Cortex-A78 cores and 4 x Cortex-A55 cores. This make Galaxy A52s a reliable day-to-day performer. The SoC is coupled with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB and up to 256GB of internal storage. Not to forget, one can expand the storage as the phone enjoys a microSD card slot.
On the software front, at the time of launch, the Galaxy A52s boots on Android 11 with Samsung’s OneUI 3.1 on top. As per reports, Samsung has already pushed Android 12 update while it will continue receving platform upgrades till Android 14.
Cameras, Others
On to the cameras, here, you get a quad-camera setup led by a 64MP primary sensor. Accompanying this is a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a couple of 5MP macro and depth sensors. For selfies, there’s a 32MP camera on the front.
