Performance

Initially, Digital Chat Station said the Realme GT Neo 6 would be powered by Qualcomm’s last year flagship processor i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, they have now updated their statement saying the Realme GT Neo 6 series will be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (SM8635) and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM7675). Though they do not mention which phone will be getting which chipset, we can speculate that by ourselves.

So, the more powerful member i.e. the Realme GT Neo 6 should come with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. We also have insight on this chipset through a previous Geekbench leak and a recent Antutu screenshot. It will feature one [email protected] GHz, four [email protected] GHz, and three [email protected] GHz. In terms of GPU, it will have the Adreno 735.

Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3

Meanwhile, the lesser member of the series, which should be the Realme GT Neo 6 SE should pack the less powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. Now, this chipset has the same architecture as the previous one. However, the clock speed on this processor goes 2.9 GHz, 2.61 GHz, and 1.92 GHz respectively. Similarly, the graphics on this chipset will be the Adreno 732.

Other than that, based on the Geekbench leak, this phone will come with 16GB memory and will run on Android 14. In the meantime, the memory should be LPDDR5X RAM while the phone might opt for 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Design and Display

Though it borrows a lot of its style from the GT Neo 5, there is one significant change. And that is regarding the camera island. The GT Neo 6 has a Pixel phone-like design with a visor extending the whole width of the phone. The camera orientation seems untouched, but the left half sees a refresh with a new design.

And as per the rumors, this phone might feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is rumored to have a 1.5K resolution with 2160Hz PWM dimming support as well.

Battery and the rest

In terms of battery, we don’t have the exact rated capacity. However, the leaks mention a “bigger battery”. Given that we saw a 5,000 mAh cell on the last generation Neo phone, so this time around we expect this phone to come with a 5,500 mAh battery.

In the meantime, you only get support for up to 100W fast charging. So it seems like Realme will be dropping its jaw-dropping 240W charging speed in this generation, which is pretty surprising.

For the rest of the phone, we’ll have to make do with guesses. Realme GT Neo 6’s primary camera will likely be a 50MP shooter with OIS support.

Realme GT Neo 6 Price and Availability

The word is that these phones will be the first ones to come with the upcoming Qualcomm chips. In the meantime, they are expected to be announced later this month. So based on that, the Realme GT Neo 6 series might be unveiled next month in April 2024. Also, there is a chance that this phone might also be rebranded as “Realme GT 3 Pro” in the international markets.

The GT Neo 6 seems to have been downgraded compared to its predecessor, but the silver lining is its price tag. Starting at CNY 1,999, it comes as a more budget-friendly option compared to its predecessor, which began at CNY 2499.
