Although these sellers are not authorized, they often bring gaming laptops relatively early with reasonable pricing.

In this article, we’ve listed down the top gaming laptops under Rs. 1,50,000 that’s available in Nepal from both the authorized and unauthorized channels. And yes, these laptops are in order, from best to worst, so try getting one that’s higher up on the list.

1Acer Predator Helios 300 (2018)

The refresh to the Acer Predator Helios 300 is here, and a more noticeable difference is the 144Hz display. We get that it’s a bit expensive, at 1,65,000, but you will definitely want that for gaming. Plus it stays relatively cool and is just a joy to use, all thanks to that 144Hz panel. And supporting the panel is a fast processor and a powerful GPU.

Although if you can’t afford the 165k pricetag, there is a 150k version of this same laptop. It will however only come with an i5-8300H processor, half the flash storage and will lack a fast refresh rate display. So, you do have an option, but if you can, we recommend you get the i7 variant which is totally worth the price.

2Lenovo Leigon Y7000

An i7-8750H processor, the GTX1060, an FHD IPS display, an SSD and 16GB of RAM does ensure lots of FPS, and that’s what Lenovo’s Y7000 promises. It also looks like a proper gaming laptop. It gets a pretty good display, with almost 90% of the sRGB color spectrum covered. It can also reach a maximum brightness of 300 nits. And finally, there is the perfect connectivity option available at your disposal.

3HP Omen 2018

If you really want a 144Hz display, and can’t shell out the Rs 165k for the Helios 300, then the HP Omen 15 2018 is for you. The 1050Ti Graphics Card would be a bit underpowered for a 144Hz panel, but for someone like me, more fps is always preferred than having better graphics any day. You also get a 70Wh battery, considerably better than it’s competition. It also gets just 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD, so that’s a bit of a bummer. But at the end of the day, this is still a good buy.

HP OMEN 2018 Specifications

Display 15.6″ IPS (1920 x 1080) 144Hz
CPU 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H
GPU NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050Ti
RAM 8GB DDR4
Storage 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD
Battery 70Wh

4MSI GF63-8RD

The MSI GF63 does not have a fancy fast refresh rate display but does come with almost all the other features as the HP Omen 2018 features, at 28K less price. It’s a 60Hz display, the 8th Gen i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 1050Ti. FPS numbers should be more or less similar to the one on the HP Omen 2018, so the choice is yours again. Do you need a 144Hz display, or would you rather save that 28k?

5Acer Predator Helios 300 (2017)

The reason the Acer Helios 300 (2017) is at the bottom of the list is because of its an old generation laptop. The i7-7700HQ is, at this point very outdated. But reflecting on this laptop’s price (if you can find it in stock) is still a good laptop, to be honest. This is, however, one of the cheapest laptops with a GTX 1060 out there.
