Redmi recently made some waves with the Redmi 13 4G, offering an impressive value proposition at its price point. However, the brand has now come up with a 5G variant of the smartphone, dubbed the Redmi 13 5G in India. Design and Display

As for the design, Redmi hasn’t altered much on this new guy. It bears a striking resemblance to its 4G sibling. So, you get a crystal glass design here. It is available in three shades: Orchid Pink, Hawaiian Blue, and Black Diamond.

Likewise, the phone sports a large 6.79-inch IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This FHD+ screen also boasts AdaptiveSync technology allowing the refresh rate to switch dynamically between 30Hz/48Hz/60Hz/90Hz/120Hz as per the content on your screen. On top of that, you get TUV Rheinland Hardware Level Low Blue Light, Rhythm Friendly, and Flicker-free certification. Lastly, it is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3.

Performance and Storage

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, similar to the Redmi 12 5G from last year. Additionally, the Redmi 13 5G comes preloaded with the HyperOS-based Android 14 user interface. Xiaomi is promising two years of major OS updates and 4 years of security updates. In terms of memory and storage, it comes in two variants: 6/128GB and 8/128GB.

Camera and Battery

Getting to the optics, the Redmi 13 5G sports a dual camera setup. It is headlined by a 108MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera. You get 3X in-sensor lossless zoom from the main camera. On the front side, there is a 13MP sensor for snapping selfies and taking videos.

Fueling the device is a 5,000mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging. In comparison, the Redmi 12 5G packed the same battery but the charging speed was capped to 18W.
