This year, Redmi has launched quite a few ultrabooks under the RedmiBook lineup. Recently, the company has launched a new gaming laptop. The new Redmi G gaming laptop starts at $760. Check out the features, specs, expected price, and availability of Redmi G gaming laptop in Nepal.

      Redmi G Gaming Laptop Overview

      Design and Display

If you have been following the launch of recent laptops by Redmi, you would agree that the Redmi G looks different. It features a Cyberpunk design. Compared to RedmiBook laptops, it is bulky and features 3D laser curved mold. The edges are angled and sharpened for the mean gaming look.

Redmi G sports 16.1-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. However, the base variant only has a standard 60Hz screen. The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The side bezels are slim. However, the chin is huge and it encloses the Redmi G logo. There is an anti-glare coating on top for better visibility under a light source. The display has a high contrast of 1000:1 and a typical brightness level of 300 nits. Similarly, the display supports DC dimming and has a viewing angle of 178-degree.

      Keyboard and Trackpad

The keyboard and trackpad continue the laptop's gaming aesthetics. Redmi has included a full-sized keyboard with dedicated function keys and a numeric pad. The WASD keys are highlighted using 0.3mm laser engraving. Similarly, the special design of the space key gives the message that it's not an ordinary Redmi laptop. The keys have a travel distance of 1.5mm and come with dual-surface keycaps. The trackpad supports Windows gesture control.

      Performance and Memory

Redmi G gaming laptop is available with three processors to choose from. The base variant comes with Intel Core i5 - 10200H which is paired with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650. The other two variants feature Core i5 - 10300H and Core i7 - 10750H, respectively. Both are paired with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti. All the available variants feature 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Like recent Redmi laptops, the Redmi G supports three performance modes - Quiet, Balanced, and Performance. Users can switch between the three suing the Fn + K combination. To keep the laptop cool, the company has used what it is calling "Hurricane Heat Dissipation 2.0". The laptop features two fans and two-sided air intake, four air outlets, three heat pipes, and copper thermal modules.

      Rest of the specs

The Redmi G comes with 55 Wh battery which won't last long given the specs of the laptop. For connectivity, it comes with Wi-Fi 6, 2X2 MIMO, and Bluetooth. Redmi G features a USB Type-C port, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a Mini DP port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, power input, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes with DTX Surround 3D sound and can support up to five screens (or three 4K screens).
