Samsung has produced numerous smartphone series in its time in the smartphone business. One such series was the C-series of phones, which was last updated in 2017. Now, the South Korean tech giant has brought the series back with the Galaxy C55. In this article, we will discuss the Samsung Galaxy C55 5G its specs, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

A M55 rebrand?

While the phone appears to be a new entry, it is basically a rebrand of the Samsung Galaxy M55 — which is making its way to Nepal soon. This does not come as a surprise since the Samsung entries with the same numbering are almost similar to each other. They have very minor aspects separating them from each other.

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy C55 5G comes in a leather back with stitches near both sides of the phone. Available in two colorways: Black and Orange, it shares an identical look to the M55 5G. So, you get a curved middle frame and a hole-punch display upfront. Talking of which, it’s a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and 1000nits of peak brightness.

Performance

Since this guy is a repackaging of the Galaxy M55, it packs the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 handling the primary processing duties. Additional hardware includes 8/12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Meanwhile, booting the phone is OneUI 6.1 built on top of Android 14.

Camera and the rest

The camera department includes a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. Meanwhile, it houses another 50MP camera on the front for snapping selfies and taking video calls.

Fueling the C55 is a 5,000mAh cell with 45W fast charging support, just like on the flagship S24 Ultra. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
