The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series was the undisputed king in the book-style foldable for many years. Until OnePlus dropped a bombshell with their first-ever foldable — OnePlus Open! So, all eyes are on Samsung this time around to see what they will pull out of their hat. Let’s take a look at what we know of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 so far!

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Rumours Round-up

Before we discuss the details of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, it’s all thanks to OnLeaks and Smartprix for the first 3D render.

Design-wise the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold seems to have remained unchanged to the most extent from its predecessor. Except for one major visible change — IT’S FLAT! Well, it was kind of expected. Given that, the change was also implemented on the Galaxy S series of phones. At this point, I am tired of complaining about this uninspiring approach. So, yeah. It is what it is.

The sources have mentioned that, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 153.50 x 132.50 x 6.10 mm in dimensions. With this, the phone has grown a little bit shorter and a little bit wider than its predecessor. Other than that, the foldable might feature a Titanium back panel similar to its highest-end S series sibling.

Also, the fan of the foldable had been expecting integration of the S-pen in the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the renders do not show a slot for the pen! Bummer.

Samsung will surely go with the Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity display on the upcoming foldable. Other than that, the renders show almost no crease, which would be the most welcome addition to the phone. Talking of the size, the inner foldable display measures 7.6 inches.

Similarly, the outer screen measures 6.2” with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. Additionally, we expect this screen to feature the Corning Armor glass protection that we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

On the performance side of things, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will surely feature the best of Qualcomm. Meaning, we will be getting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip that has been specifically optimized for Galaxy phones.

Besides that, we can expect Galaxy AI to be carried over to the most expensive commercial Samsung phone. Similarly, we might also see the adaptation of 7 years of OS as well as security updates on the upcoming foldable.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Launch and Availability

Samsung has been launching the Galaxy Z Fold series in August for some time now. However, the word is that Samsung will launch the latest member of the series after six months only. That would mean that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will go public in September — in the same month as the upcoming iPhones.
