Samsung unveiled its yearly lineup of flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S23 Series, at the Unpacked event in February. The Galaxy S23 Series was available for pre-order in Nepal the day after its global launch. The pre-order period ended on February 22, and according to Samsung, the new Galaxy S23 Series has seen record sales in Nepal. More about it in this article.

The Galaxy S23 lineup has three devices: the vanilla S23, the S23 Plus, and the top-tier S23 Ultra. As mentioned earlier, all three smartphones are available for pre-order in Nepal beginning February 2 which has ended on February 21. During this time, the pre-order for the Galaxy S23 Series has set a new record in Nepal.

Last year’s pre-order total for the Galaxy S22 Series was less than 1500, but this year’s total has surpassed 2000. While the S23 and S23 Plus offer a similar flagship experience for less money, according to Samsung Nepal, more than 85% of consumers have chosen the premium Galaxy S23 Ultra. This shows users’ interest to experience the latest and greatest features.

Galaxy S23 Series in Nutshell

Going through a quick rundown of specifications, all smartphones in the Galaxy S23 series have a Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with 120Hz refresh rates and up to 1750 nits of peak brightness. The front and back are both protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the frames are made of armor aluminum.

Powering these smartphones is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy platform which has slightly overclocked cores than the standard 8 Gen 2. Similarly, Samsung is keeping its promise of four years of Android updates and five years of security patches.

The biggest difference in these smartphones is in the cameras. The S23 Ultra has a new and bigger 200MP sensor, as well as a 12MP ultrawide and a pair of 10MP telephoto and periscope lenses. On the other hand, the S23 and S23 get a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The selfie camera on all three is the same, at 12MP.
