Samsung has just announced three new gaming monitors under the Odyssey series. The new Odyssey 2021 lineup has ditched curved panels in favor of flat ones instead. The former was a distinct feature of its 2020 models. That being said, let’s take a quick look at the key features, specifications, and expected price of the Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors (2021) in Nepal.
Samsung Odyssey 2021 lineup:
As of now, there are three models under the Samsung Odyssey 2021 lineup – G70A, G50A, and G30A. There was no sign of any successor to the higher-end G9 model at the launch. Maybe that will indeed feature a curved panel.
Odyssey G7 (G70A)
Odyssey G7 (G70A) features a 28″ UHD panel with HDR400 and a 144Hz refresh rate. Samsung is boasting an ultra-low response rate of up to 1ms here. The monitor is compatible with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC and AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro. With the HDMI 2.1 ports, users can enjoy 4K 120Hz output from the latest gaming consoles.
Odyssey G5 (G50A)
Next in the line is the Odyssey G5. It features a 27″ QHD panel with support for a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The monitor is compatible with HDR10, G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync Premium.
Odyssey G3 (G30A)
Finally, the Odyssey G3 is the cheapest entry in Samsung’s 2021 series of gaming monitors. It is available in two screen sizes – 27″ and 24″. Like the G70A, it supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

Multi-tasking features
Here, the Odyssey G7 and G5 come with several features to facilitate multi-tasking. To start, users can game and chat simultaneously, using Picture-by-Picture (PBP). Then there is Picture-in-Picture (PiP) that allows the creation of a virtual second screen.
Other features include Easy Setting Box and Auto Source Switch+. Thanks to the latter, you can have the monitor connected to a PC and a console at the same time. The monitor will intelligently recognize the one that is active and switch to it.
